why would anyone argue about this? the satellite camps are poorly veiled recruiting trips to other states during recruiting dead periods. how is this even a question?

Forget it, the last time Les weighed in on an issue regarding fairness tRant howled and we still haven't heard the last of it. Tiny Saban gets to bite his pillow by himself tonight. I don't hear Vandy crying about how it isn't fair that we don't play on a level field.
So you have no issue Harbaugh/Franklin in your own backyard selling their programs at camps during recruiting dead periods? Or that the SEC has transfer rules that limit the ability to accept tranfers?

As an LSU fan? Are you serious?

I'm just going to lay this down right here and step away slowly...:

Saban has few if any hobbies. He is as consumed by football as auphan is about Bama.

He's got football on the brain 100% of the time. I'm beginning to think he will never retire from coaching.

I guess that's cool with me he makes enough money to compensate him for his worries.

Because no matter how logical the subject, as long as Saban makes a statement and the damn journalists print every word that comes out of his mouth, SEC fans will shite all over it even if what Saban says would ultimately benefit the entire conference.

While I think Saban can be stupid or whiny with a lot of proposed rules this is one area where I 100% agree with him. The P5 needs to act like the pseudo-conference it is and come to terms on universal rules/standards regardless of what those standards are.

He's right, all the SEC coaches should bitch about this. You damn sure better believe that the B1G would be raising hell if the shoe was on the other foot.

The SEC wouldn't allow it if he did.

Hell, the damn "Saban Rule" was inacted because every time the man set foot on a high school campus the whole place went wild....Other SEC coaches were pissed and now we have the no contact rule.

They feel the same way Saban feels about it - the journalists just don't give a shite about quoting any of the other high-profile SEC coaches.

It never fails. Saban voices his opinion on a topic and the LSU fans all chastise him and go back off. Even though he's fricking right and sticking up for the entire conference on this topic the LSU Saban, Bama haters never fail to be against his position no matter if he's right. No way they would or could ever agree with him no matter what.

Saban is right, but his most recent whining is because he couldn't get Golson.

Last thing Saban really wants is an even playing field.

He had that in the NFL to an extent. It made him quit too.

Lol. He turned Golson into the bad QB that he is. Mindfricked him completely.

Saban wanted total control of the organization. If he had had it he would have gotten Drew Brees and he would have never come to Alabama in the first place.

Damn he is a whiner. First he wants rules to stop the HUNH offense and now he wants rules that keep other coaches from having a recruiting advantage against him.

If people would take Saban's name out of this and look at it objectively, what he is saying is 100% correct.
