I never said Sabin to UTw. All I pointed out was UTw gives Sabin what he likes best, an easy road to the NCG.

Actually the road would be much easier for Miles to go to UTw than Saban.

One thing I take heart in is the fact that the alleged payments were made on behalf of an agent, not on behalf of Alabama or an Alabama booster.
An ex-player is always considered a Booster.
Sexton is lining up what it would take to get him to Austin, just in case. Nick ALWAYS listens, don't think he accepts, but he will listen.

Have you looked at your SECe schedule lately?

The Bama fans who trust everything Saban says are as pathetic as this weekly thread.

This is stupid. Saban has to have more money than God at this point. He has made references to his legacy. And his best shot at a decent legacy is to keep winning at Alabama. Not bolting yet again, mercenary style, with what could only be described as a lateral move.

He would have success at Texas, but how many years does he have left, anyway? If he's at Alabama 5 years from now, I'll be shocked. Hardly enough time to make a Texas move worth it, even if he considered it.

There is a lot of pressure on Texas admin to at least speak with Saban. This will happen and the checkbook will be wide open for sure.

They won't pursue him unless he indicates he would like to talk. Shorthorn will not risk the embarrassment of being publicly rejected by Saban.

Sexton will use this to play UT/Bama against each other. For Sexton/Saban it's a win win scenario.

Exactly why he will listen to UT and at least play them against Bama for a huge pay increase. The more he makes the more he saves between now and retiring. He knows he's only got a few more years to work. He's got to hit it hard while he can.
And to the people saying he's got plenty money and gives a mill a year to charity. That's just playing the angle to pay as little taxes as possible. Saban is a business pure and simple.
Your dealing with CNS inc. not nick Saban the person.

I'm sure it is. Miles inc will listen too. This job is going to cost a lot of schools a bunch of cash. I think with the Big 12 offense mind set UT will rescue Chip Kelly from the NFL.

UT has the deepest pockets in the NCAA. If they want to overpay to get someone, they can.

Saban leaving to UT? I dunno. He is looking a bit older these days. Not sure he has it in him to start something new again. Then again, who knows?

It struck me yesterday when I saw Mack Brown how much that man has aged....Nick has, as well- but Brown looks like he's 75. Guess that's the way it is for a coach at that level...

Saban should let College Station be as close to
"Berkeley, TX" as he ever gets....

Sexton will try and play Alabama , Texas , and USC against each other. Create a bidding war, and likely stay at bama.

At least that's how I see it.

No problem. You and I agree that Sabin has the best chance to become the GOAT. We just have different ways for him to achieve it. I will always pull for Sabin except when playing LSU. What he did for LSU he also did for Bama by bringing two once proud university's from the ashes. IMO, if Sabin could bring another university from the ashes he would differentiate himself from the others. I will pull for Sabin at Bama, UTw, USCw or wherever he chooses to coach as long as they aren't playing LSU.

You can't possibly hate Sabin that bad? I understand the dislike for bama, but why Sabin?

There was a time when I spelled his name Satan, but I have moved on and when he retires I will spell his name correct.
