I was skeptical that UT would make a serious run at Saban. I figured they'd make a safer move, but thinks have gotten so bad so fast over there that I've changed my mind. Will they go after him? I don't know, but I think the chances are a lot better now than they were.

They might well go after him. It won't be the first time a team has gone after him since 2007.

The question is whether he wants anything to do with that catastrophe.

I wouldn't be the least surprised if he turned them down flat.

But remember, Chick. Saban never stays anywhere longer than five years. Saban will leave that white trash catastrophe in Tuscaloosa in five or less.

Depends on how this budding Fluker/Luther Davis scandal evolves ... if probation is likely wouldn't surprise me if the midge bolted,

Now that's entirely possible. One thing I take heart in is the fact that the alleged payments were made on behalf of an agent, not on behalf of Alabama or an Alabama booster.

He'll be wearing a cowboy hat and pointy toed cowboy boots (gives an extra 2-3 inches in height) by the time the bluebonnets bloom in the Austin hill country next year.

They need to recruit Miss Terry to build an Academic Center for Student-Athletes.

When I saw your handle, the old theme music came flooding back to me. I was a kid, but that show was great.

Saban leaving to UT? I dunno. He is looking a bit older these days. Not sure he has it in him to start something new again. Then again, who knows?

On the next episode of The Rockford Files, Rockford goes full rantard and starts a shitty Saban to Texas thread.

Dick looks out for himself. You can bet he'll cut and run if this smoke turns into fire. No way he's going to be saddled w/ probation, he'll scoot just like a roach in the kitchen when you turn on the lights.

And Daniel Moore's next epic painting can be "The Clandestine Move," depicting a moving van at the Saban house in the wee hours of the morning.

Anyone who thinks Saban is going to take the job at Texas and have to deal with the intrusiveness of the Longhorn Network doesn't know very much about Saban.
