College Football Playoff Invitational Tournament Trophy. If Bama has an NIT Trophy in BB, they should put it next to it.

A better comparison would be the NCAAt trophy right???

Then you have a Defense with all that talent, giving up 26 points to AU. Yeah, it was all Hurts fault. ?

Defensive talent that didn't play or played hurt?

But you have 50 5 stars, couldn’t just plug in and play against all those 3 stars? Or are you going to claim it was the magic of JHS?

Sounds like both teams accomplished their season goals. Auburn beat Alabama and Alabama won the national title.

Congrats to everyone.

I didn't realize we were just making things up. I'll bow out now.

Bama always has much better players but Auburn often wins. Why does Saban choke against the little bro?

I do not know, I would think UA would have winning the SECW, beating AU and winning the SEC as a goal? Who knows, maybe Saban knew that the Committee would give him another Mulligan.

If by often you mean 4 of 11 times (and 3 of 10 when Saban has a better roster) then sure, often.

There you go trying to "think" again, SkyKing. Alabama's overriding goal EVERY year is the National Championship...and they've shown that it's not very unusual for them to accomplish it.

How about since 81 (Bear) ? We all know that Forrest Davis would claim recruiting NCs during that period. As stated before, Gus is 2-3 against Saban with just 1 1st rounder vs 14 for Bama. Makes you wonder what is going to happen when Saban leaves.

Because Nick Saban wasn't the coach from 1982 to 2006 and that would have absolutely nothing to do with the topic?

Other than that, makes perfect sense.

Because LSU just immediately fell off a cliff after 2004.

Gus has averaged going 9-4 and 5-3 in the SEC and won 1 SEC Title and 0 National Titles.

Saban has averaged going 13-1 and 7-1 in the SEC and won 3 SEC Titles and 2 National Titles.

The disparity in picks seems to make sense.

Rounds 4 through 7 the NFL largely drafts guys from coaches they trust. Saban is one, Kirby is another, and a lot of big ten guys get picked up late because they are technically well coached. Scouts also tend to trust about 5 blue blood programs and give their borderline guys the benefit of the doubt. As an AU fan I ask myself this in regards to the draft...

Does Stephen Roberts, Tray Mathews, Jeff Holland, Austin Golson get drafted had they played at Bama? Ofcourse they do.

Does Deshawn Hand get drafted had he had same career at AU? Not a chance. Are Carl Lawson, Montravious Adams, and Carlton Davis 1st rounders had they played for Saban? I tend to think they would be.

Tough to admit but Gus has a horrible rep with NFL and its proof when you watch the draft.

I was just pointing out the history of the series since BB left. You did see my comments about Gus going 2-3 with only one first rounder ? He would be 3-2 if not for Ellis Johnson.

And the followup showing his full body of work?

Again, your main goal is splitting with Alabama. Your comments above making that abundantly clear. The other stuff doesn't matter as long as Gus is at 40-50% against Alabama. That's cool, good for y'all.

No, just amazed how the worst coach in the SEC (Gus) could beat the best coach in College Football history, considering the difference in talent. How in one of those loses he racked up 630 yards against all those NFL type players.
