Butch underestimated app state. Dobbs needed to tuck it more. I believe they must have told him not too. That is his signature and if he runs more early he probably settles in and throws the ball a little better. Don't hold him back. Let him do his thing regardless of opponent

Agreed. Dobbs keeping it opens up everything to the offense like I've said before

Punt returner that doesn't fair catch is not a defenseless player. Also targeting is bullshite anyway.

Targeting is BS. But the punt returner was kneeling that makes him defenseless

Oh damn that makes me even madder. I thought he'd made more accidental contact because the guy slid down just as JRM was hitting him.

I think targeting is bullshite, but if you're gonna call it, they called it right. I don't think it was intentional, but the rule doesn't say it has to be intentional

He kneeled down when he caught it, with JRM like a yard away.

No more defenseless than any punt returner that's lit up

Defense was fine.

They ran it right down the throat of that "2nd best front 7" in the SEC for the majority of the game. UT made one good play on the pick Sutton had and the other drives stalled and missed FG. There were some massive damn holes being opened though. They got pushed around but were undone by bad coaching and one good defensive play on the pick

I don't know if we underestimate App or underestimated how awful our OL would play tonight without Dobbs bailing them out. But here's the thing we did this one game last season against Ark and it was exactly like tonight -- Dobbs didn't run and the entire team looked like dogshit. We need Dobbs to run - we just do. He does not pass well until he gets some runs in (don't ask me why). You're absolutely right, it puts him and the offense into rhythm.

That's why if the rumors are true then we best look at burning JG's redshirt. Dormady would be Worley with the way this OL played tonight.

I'm pretty sure I heard Booger say that App. State had 184 yards rushing. They aren't exactly Georgia Southern or Georgia Tech and their QB was not a real threat in the passing game. I can only imagine how much they would have scored with a better passing QB. Lamb was 15/23 but he only passed for 108 yards and only averaged 4.7 yards per completion. App. State was one dimensional and still had success moving the ball.

dormady can step in. no issues, loaded at qb

Wish Butch had elgibility. He could play QB. Just give him a peanut butter sammich, a list of his ABC's and 123's, and a cordless microphone. Y'all will kill Ohio.

They averaged over 275 rypg last year. They are a triple option team, shite---->Tin Horn.

The defense was not the problem, the offense was straight up dogshit coated dogshit with dogshit filling.

I mean honestly, though, what was he supposed to do? Guy returning the punt squatted, only other option would have been to run through him and put his knee through dude's forehead. This rule needs to be amended. If you're going to eject a player his action should have been intentional or, at the very least, avoidable

Well, I don't hate Tennessee so I hope the QB is ok. Only idiots are happy to see a player hurt.

Having said that, I need to see more of Tennessee before I base an opinion on that team.
