It is to the point that people will believe any and all rumors about NIL payouts, even though I have yet to see an actual signed NIL contract anywhere.

I have. :)

Evan seems like he's believing all these numbers being tossed around on message boards and then being repeated by retards in the media.

Good luck with that, all the big money programs have already passed on that nonsense.

Bru is back. I say we pay him. The man’s proven his dedication to Tennessee and is a selfless player. I hope UT makes him rich

Sounds like free-market capitalism.

Auburn offered him 900k late in the game, and it was still more than Miami.

Well. I am not ever going to buy another ticket. Tired of watching all the crap on the field a The wanting to jaw and fight on the field many times in a game. Not like it used to be

This is probably a good thing in disguise.

The initial run in NIL was the Wild West with an anything goes mentality.

Now the free market is correcting itself and the price will come down. Athletes asking for 5 million will only speed the process.

Anyone really want to pay that kind of money for a kid that will absolutely positively bail (“opt out to prepare myself for the NFL.”) on your team by mid October? Anyone really really dumb enough to pay this head case $1,000,000 per game? Seems to be a growing amount of doubt about him. Major programs don’t seem interested.

To be fair, that was playing only 2/3 of the games and getting thrown to by mostly our 2nd string (but probably shouldve been 3rd) QB behind a terrible offensive line that allowed pressure on over 40% of snaps. So considering the circumstances, its not bad stats.

Stewart has great talent, but he's also a headcase that quit on his high school team, and now his first college team, someone will get a good player if they can get his head right. If not, he could very well be like many of our 2021 and 2022 players that hit the portal, very few have done anything at their next stops, and its not due to lack of talent.

One of the advantages of NIL I didn’t see coming is that now NFL GM’s and coaches will have a better idea of what players are going to be “high maintenance” before they draft them.
