At this point in his college career you can't call him a pocket guy.
you mean the 2.5 games he's played in?
dude, open your eyes, and put away the blind hate for LSU

Until he sits in the pocket and has some games over 150 yards, then I don't know how to defend your logic.
he would have had over 200 in the georgia tech game if it weren't for a hold call.
did you watch the video?

To Bama's safeties.
in 2.5 games, he is accredited with one interception.
that went off the hands of a receiver.
bama won't win this year with bad LSU play.
I can assure you of that.

Lmfao.. the dude was a true freshman
Sorry freshman Jarrett Lee ran 4% of the time. Is that better. That's 36% less as a freshman with the same team.
Matt Stafford ran less the 16% as a freshman. 24% less than JJ.
You can compile a long list of freshman who sit in the pocket. JJ isn't one of them.

I mean honestly.
comparing a WHOLE SEASON to someone who played in 2 and half games... who didn't know the full passing playbook...

So the typical gump argument is that we haven't seen enough of Jefferson to determine how he's going to play next year..
No my argument is his play and stats in college show him to be a guy that doesn't sit in the pocket.
I'm not saying he can't learn but to this point it is silly to call him something that he hasn't proven he can be and his stats point in the opposite direction.

My god... no one can be this dumb.
You're comparing redshirt freshmen to a true freshman.

Doc, lets just quit. People like this are what will make this season great for tiger fans. The coaches are intense, player are working hard, and everyone is focused. Let the doubters get their jabs in while they can. They'll be shocked this season. Even though they should know what's coming.
p.s. stafford had a spring to learn the playbook and J lee had two springs. Plus they're not as athletic as JJ.

I really don't see what is wrong with this opinion.

Let it be. Saban's already said many times that a running quarterback is THE hardest thing to account for in his defensive packages. If the gump is determined to make JJ a running QB so be it.

It isn't blind hate. I'm just saying put away the blind faith and wait for him to show he's a pocket passer. I don't care if he runs first if he wins games. Vince Young didn't sit in the pocket and he won a national championship almost by himself. I think Jefferson is talented I just don't know if he'll be a good pocket passer yet. That's not unreasonable. He might turn out to be a great pocket passer... he just hasn't show anything that would make me think that in his limited game time.

Jordan Jefferson is a pure pocket, pro-style quarterback who just happens to have great mobility.
Because he didn't have any grasp of the playbook at all last year, the coaches utilized his mobility to draw DESIGNATED running plays for him. In passing situations, Jefferson rarely abandoned his receivers and ran for yardage.

He doesn't understand this. Just give it up.

Yes.
I'll send you some videos of Star Jackson now and you can tell me if he's a pro style college QB. Rivals said he was so it must be true. High school videos are where it's at. They don't really show if a guy is able to sit in the pocket comfortably in college though.

Good thing the video of Jefferson was in a college bowl game...
