I've predicted UT to win numerous times this week and it's only Tuesday.

Well you're crazy because it won't happen. I would laugh if it did happen but it won't

No. He sucked at UT, sucked at USC, sucked in the pros. He's doing ok at Bama where he's on a leash and has a decided talent advantage against most other teams. Kiffin has yet to prove he can be a head coach that does anything more than brag, frick coeds, get into drunken accidents, and cause the NCAA to come down well after he's gone.

What would it take, though? Lane was immature and loudmouthed, no question, but at some point he's going to get an HC gig again. What would convince the UT faithful -- or you in particular -- that Lane has matured and will be capable of being a good HC? If you wait until a Power 5 team snatches him up, it might be too late.

Or do you think the UT faithful will never accept him back on general principle? As far as I'm concerned, they have a valid gripe and a good reason to bar him from ever returning. That doesn't necessarily mean it's better than any possible reason for allowing him return, but relative balance between the two is for each person to decide for him or herself.

I wont give Kiffin and his staff credit for helping Berry. They developed the most talent out of any ut coach since Fulmer. Aaron Douglas , Crompton , Dan Williams and that running back can't think of. He never pissed away games like Butch and was always competitive.

I'm sure there's plenty who'd accept him. I don't want a 7-5 retread who is partly responsible for the years of misery we've endured and NCAA sanctions.

Someone DV'd my post but every word of it is true. Why on Earth should UT want a guy who fricked coeds, got into a drunken accident with UT car, and brought down the NCAA before leaving in the middle of the night like an immature bitch?

He didn't develop shite except problems and he did it all in less than a year. Crompton was a talented head case who always had talent and in the end still only won 7 games.

Fair enough. I'm trying to think of a good redemption story in the ranks of CFB coaching, but nothing really springs to mind. Most of the top coaches had fairly uncontroversial trajectories to the top. Danny Ford, maybe? I can think of some basketball examples but not so many football ones.

Deceiving title. Fulmer stunk his last few years, the decline it's not "post" Fulmer.

Stranger things have happened. UT has traded coaches and ADs with Alabama and Florida before - hell we're doing so right now but I don't see how Kiffin comes back given all the problems that were left behind. The ironic thing is that I'm pretty sure Kiffin wants redemption from us. When Ed O went to speak to the QB club the first thing Kiffin asked was how things were and if he thought we were still mad. Ed O informed him that yes, we're still mad.

And he was clearly trending down.

He won the East the year before he was fired. With how shitty the Vols have been lately, you should treasure SECEast titles the way Mizzou does.

I guess we should congratulate him on having an easier schedule than Florida.
