I love when people say this. Bama was awarded the NC by UPI. They were awarded 9 more NCs as well, most unanimous. Deal with it.
5 out of 5 were concensus NC..

73-N.Dame (N.Dame won the Bowl and the true recoginized champions)
78-USC (Beat Bama head to head)
-------Recent Unanimous because of the System)

The fact of the matter is the top 2 dogs went at it in the 2013 bcs national championship and bama won 42-14. Since 1936, bama has 10 ap or coaches poll championships and notre dame has 8.
The game is played to win championships and bama has done that more than any other major program.

Can you show me a program with 5 or more national championships that hasn't split a title at least once?

Turing the question around? I was not the person who said MOST of Bama's were unanimous. I just showed some facts, 5 of 10 poll based is a good record. The Three under Saban are very impressive...

Most of the 10 were AP, Coaches. To clarify. You can add BCS to 3.
