And yet they have only 2 national championships since the so-called "Poll Era" began in 1936. Not only that, they are 20-23 in postseason play, with an 8-12 overall record in the Rose Bowl.
Yeah...they can have those 900 wins, they just won't have much to show for it.

I'd put them a scrotal hair behind Notre Dame, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Texas; and about on a par with Nebraska, USC, and Ohio State.
Next comes Tennessee, Louisiana State, Georgia, Penn State, and Auburn.
Then Miami, Arizona State, Florida State, Washington, UCLA, Syracuse, Florida, Wiscsonsin, and Minnesota.
Stanford, West Va, Texas A&M, Michigan State, Ga. Tech, Clemson, Pittsburgh, Ole Miss, Iowa, Arkansas, Mizzou, Oregon, Va.Tech, TCU, North Carolina, Cal, Princeton, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Northwestern, Tulane, Rutgers, Miami(O), Harvard, Purdue, Louisville, NC State, Maryland Boston College, Miss St, Okie State, K State and USCe.

LSU is 11th all-time in number of NCAA football victories, and is 8th all-time in number of bowl appearances - both far, far ahead of the Johnny-Come-Lately Florida Three.

What is their official record? Don't they have some forfeits and vacates to exclude?

Has what, one major poll title since WW2? They aren't in the discussion.
The top 3 are Bama, ND, and USC.

As far as I am concerned that is our official record. A victory is a victory. Just because you forfeit or vacate a victory doesn't mean you erase what happened in that game. Alabama has won 852 games on the field, which is good for fifth all time.
I personally believe that Alabama, Oklahoma, USC, Notre Dame and Ohio State are the only football programs in the discussion for GOAT.

What he said was true dude
Alabama: 900-838=62
Aubbie: 800-733=67
Thus, Alabama is closer to 900 than you guys are to 800.
