I agree. Another pointless thread about something that would not have happened if Hugh and the boys had listened to their compliance officer.

Anybody remember that Bartender's quote in USA Today a couple of weeks ago?

[quote]After those victories over Saban, there were few places in Oxford as crowded as Funkys Pizza & Daiquiri Bar. The NCAA has alleged the bar owner, Lee Harris, provided between $200 and $600 worth of free food and drinks to Ole Miss players. Harris declined to comment. But one of his bartenders recalled how Freeze dropped in from time to time. The bartender identified himself as Brett, and he identified Freeze as more than a coach, a Christian or a cheat. “He’s human,’’ the bartender said. [quote]

I've basically been either at work or the beach or the mountains for the entire last month or two.

Y'all take this college sports shite too seriously.

You don't have a case, you ignorant SOB. Wake up. If you fired him after the second NOA dropped the NCAA would have shown you some mercy. You would also not have had to pay a coach who was responsible for (and agreed that most of these violations occurred) that many level 1 violations. You don't know what you're talking about.

but seriously though...y'all act like it's some kind of crazy shite that a head coach and a booster are good friends.

And even if they weren't good friends....I'd still expect a head coach to be in frequent communications with a guy if he's a fairly high level booster(no clue how much that guy gave). That's why some boosters give so much money.....to be in the back pocket of the head coach(pun not intended but lol y not?)

I'd rather let someone other than a fat arse State fan with an IQ of about 75 decide whether or not we have a case. But that's just me.

If they would have played this wisely, OM could have completely dumped everything on CHF right after their beloved Sugar Bowl and shitcanned him.

And right now they would be about to come off of probation instead of facing the horrors that are looming over them

And would you mind showing us in Freeze's contract where it states that the buyout is voided if we get popped by the NCAA? I've never seen one of those clauses. There is a morality clause in pretty much every contract, though. Getting your school put on probation doesn't fall under that clause.

Yes, those people that have been making decisions for you up there have been leading you down all the right paths so far! Take your head out of your arse.

I'm headed to the coast after the HS scrimmage tonight for a week of relaxation.

I don't take this crap too seriously, just killing time at the office more than anything. It's still the off-season and the OM soap opera has entertained us through the dog days of summer.

"Mistakes were made"-Hugh Freeze. Administration certainly seems to have misplayed this.

If your school didn't put in his contract that NCAA violations would be a cause for termination then that explains why you are where you are today. That has to be one of the most ignorant contracts ever written if so.

In the blue corner we have Vita Creed with:

Yeah we did you dense MFer. If we fired him before the COI we would basically be laying down our case AND have to pay the 15 million. Go play video games or something. You have no business talking to adults.

This is my favorite pair of words. It pretty much acts as a giant flag that says "hey, I'm a giant mouth-breather that can't form a legitimate argument so I just repeat catch-phrases that I hear everyone else use".

Why don't you go take a nap and let some of Ole Miss' other rival fans make the arguments for you. 100% of them on this message board are better equipped to do it than you are.

Everything became tense and a hush fell over the board when a Wild Dumbass Bear suddenly appeared.
