but he called and committed to the coaches the day before signing day.
You heard the call?

No one even was mentioning AU.
two days before signing day an LSU recuiting writer said this
quote:
Both Georgia and Auburn have led for the 4-star defensive end/outside linebacker for the bulk of his recruitment, and that theme continues into crunch time.
his coach on monday
quote:
It’s hard to tell what order,” Felton said of UGA, LSU and Auburn, “but, my guess, I think it’s still Georgia, with Auburn right in there. But, then again, he had a great time at LSU, man. He likes coach O, so LSU could be pushing in there, but I think I’d still give the nod to Georgia.”
So you were saying....

I don't see why this is a big deal. Alabama has a few support staff members that were prominent Alabama high school coaches. Their contacts in the high school coaching community are instrumental for recruiting.

So you were saying....
Crystal ball percentages on 247 for Big Cat come signing day...where is AU?!?!
LSU 68%
Georgia 32%
I rest my case....

Not according to one of your brethren,

Bama offers entry level jobs to former college coaches boss. They're on another level.

Just admit that you don't really follow recruiting and move on.

I remember when Auburn hired Bobby Bentley as Jake Bentley was starting to go through high school.

Horseshite....once he committed the crystal balls came pouring in Tuesday night. Recruiting experts around the south had every.single.one of the crystal balls going to LSU/GA. Not one expert picked AU and these are the guys who have their ears to the ground. Go on living in your dream world... you had to hire his coach to get him and I think its fn hilarious. But, we all know Malzahn has a thing for HS coaches...really hope it works out for you guys
I'm not saying AU wasn't in it...but you guys were a distant third.

Don't act like choosing practice facilities of highly prized recruits isn't super sketchy/gray area
It's sketchy for those programs who can't afford it.

Both Auburn hiring this coach and what Bama did was completely legal, but definitely sketchy
I'll allow it.
I can live with Auburn hiring shitty high school coaches. They've done well with the one they have as head coach.

Yeah. Those things have never been wrong.
Tony Brown - 90% LSU
Speedy Noil - 71% LSU
Dylan Moses - 88% LSU
Chris Allen - 77% LSU
Marvin Wilson - 59% LSU

The crystal balls are such a sham these days anyways. Hell, if he really wanted to make an argument, he should have mentioned that even the AU writers picked LSU. Regardless, that doesn't mean "nobody was even talking about AU" as he said, and we were far from a "distant third".
If he actually followed Bryant's recruiting besides the last two weeks after his visit, then he'd have known that.

They are not 100% obviously but many times are right. We had 15 crystal balls come in frantically Tues night...something went down, you guys are fools if you don't realize that.

Yea, it was the night before signing day and people were trying to lock in their guess
Seriously, just admit you don't follow recruiting and move on.

Isn't that the same way Gus got his start?
Just shows. Gus is getting desperate.
Auburn falls to 4 or 5 in the West next season and Gus knows it.
