If VCU was left out of tournament like they should have been in 2011, his accomplishments at VCU would look pretty bad next to Anthony Grant.

UT can do a lot better. Martin underachieved big time. Don't let one sweet 16 run fool you. They played zero top 25 teams to get there (one was a damn 14 seed). Pearl gifted him a roster that should have easily been a top 25 team and they barely made the tournament.

Wasn't Anthony Grant a homerun hire at the time? Why has he flamed out at Bama?

Anthony Grant helped a little with that.

Anthony Grant was far more successful in a shorter amount of time, with the exception of the aforementioned fluke run.

What about Tim Miles from Nebraska? This guy is high energy and did a good job at Nebraska this year.

I don't understand the Grant-hating either. He is a very good coach and recruits well. He's had a couple of bad breaks recently, but I think he will make Alabama a top half of the conference team. I think he will surprise a lot of people next year. (Then, it will be funny to see everyone hating on him doing a 180.)
