Its a classless moronic cheer that alabama had to invent because they have no tradition.
Is this like the hillbilles stealing that endzone design from Alabama?

so WTF is a weagle?
I never understood weagle or bodda getta. I could only guess it makes sense to yell "weagle" repeatedly as opposed to "war eagle".

I'm partially kidding around. You have to admit though, there is not one thing you would want to hear at the end of a game less than 100,000 fans reminding you of the loss with a cheer like that.

the gayest chant in all of college sports. Bama should consider banning it. from an outsider's honest perspective, it's so homosexual and it really really makes your program look bad.

I can understand why any rival team would hate it and think it is awful. That is the point. You are not supposed to enjoy hearing it (something UT fans have been hearing a lot lately).

I actually think the cheer is pretty impressive. And yes, hearing it after Dan Lincoln hit Terrence Cody in the armpit with that kick in 2009 was probably the closest I've come to breaking my TV. I'd agree there's not one thing I'd want to here less, but that's also because Bama is Tennessee's biggest rival. As far as the thing opponents want to hear least, I'll admit Rammer Jammer is up there, if not at the very top, but the answer may be different for different fan bases.

What? That's crazy talk. Next you'll tell me Alabama fans don't sing along to Rocky Top.

i think it's funny. Hearing yall do that stupid chant proves that at least 50% of your fanbase is inbred, 50% are drunk, and 30% are both.
Keep on keeping on.
Keep on keeping on.

I thought it was gay too when yall did it to Texas (which a team I don't give a shite about.)
several of my big10 and pac10 friends hate it even more. and they never play Bama.

It doesn't bother me. I can never understand what they're saying anyway.

I understand, the "Hey Vols" part of it. That's enough to hate it.
A few years ago, I admittedly didn't know the words to it, so I looked them up. Freaking used 'Vols' in the default lyrics.

I'm not sure how you are associating homosexuality with hammer jammer.

Doesn't matter because you know exactly what we are saying.
