It's really common sense for anyone with even a basic understanding of football. Yes, tempo is a necessary part of today's game. Yes, you need to score points. But an offense that cannot possess the ball and is simply a combination of big plays and three and outs, is not going to cut it. And Bama has the talent to do better.

That was the jist of the Cecil article. Saban believes we have not been as physical on offense as we needed to be and a little too finesse. Both issues resulted us in getting behind the chains and too many quick 3 and outs. Defense had to defend 100 Clemson plays and a QB like Watson will make you pay.,....everyone saw the result.

According to Blake Barnett's cryptic tweets, it's Napier.

Cecil's article appears to be almost totally speculation and opinion, imo. If you read it carefully, Cecil even indicates that it is.

Admittedly, you know more about him than I do. I'd never heard of the summbitch till today.

You must be living in a cave or do not follow the NFL. Houston's soap opera with their Offense was all over the news.

Hey, I've got my hands full during football season with college/SEC ball. I don't have the patience or motivation to give a shite about the pro's.

Bottom line for me, when Nick Saban fricks up royally and makes a shitty hire that lands Alabama in the realm of mediocrity in this conference I'll start worrying about his decision making skills. Until then, I'll trust his decisions regarding his staff.

Of course it is. 99.9% of columnists' work is. What I said was that Cecil has probably the best handle on what Saban has in mind...and yes, that is an..opinion.

You're right on. These fools are so hopeful that something will sidetrack Saban's casual romp thru the SEC, that they won't admit that he's been basically bulletproof in the conference using HIS perspective on how things should be done in Tuscaloosa.

No, I just wanted to address the comment that Saban's decisions are never questioned by Bama Fan's. Did I hurt your pussy with that comment ?

They are occasionally, but usually on our own boards in private, not on a board for all other fans to see. It is rare though, and for good reason. The man has earned benefit of the doubt with 5 SEC and 4 national titles in his 10 years at Bama. His decisions work out far more often than they don't. Also, he has a full understanding of the data and facts, whereas most fans just have rumor and speculation.

Literally 2 threads in the last 5 minutes by LSU fans "giving fricks" about it on this board.
