About sums it up, wise move on his part. Hope he experiences much success, I know everyone says it but he really is a great kid and model student athlete.

He needs to hang around and get a Master's Degree on UA's tab. His playing days may be over, but he can focus on academics and get fine education that will take him through life.

That blows, seems like a great kid. Really liked watching him run, best of luck to him.

Austin Allen probably disagrees. Bert allowing that kid to play through multiple injuries last year was criminal.

Great, so what does that have to do with him running his RBs "into the ground." Just admit you were wrong and we can move on.

He's going to finish school. He's an honor student and grades are important to him as well as it should be. He's a young man his family never has to worry about.

We will miss RW111 on the field.

Shouldn't be too much longer, they can only hold you for so long on trespassing and hugging a tree

Good decision. Bert has a nasty history of running his players--and RBs in particular--into the ground. Glad this young man was smart enough to realize this and get out before e suffered a catastrophic injury.

What a stupid comment. I guess that is why Bielema has always had two and when the opportunity presents itself three RBs share the carries.

Les Miles would play 4 or 5 RB's in a game. It's the right thing to do with that kind of power rushing offence. Les never lost a back to head or spinal injuries.

Damn man... that kid was one hell of a back. It sucks to see such a talent in a position to give up the game he loves but it's smart because you only have one life and one body. Props to him for making the best call for him and prayers go out to the Arkie family and his family.

Rawleigh broke his neck on his 56th career carry. It's not some magical science that Les knew better than anyone else.

Look cocksucker, RW's initial injury was a freak play where his neck was twisted. It had nothing to do with overuse. It could happen to any football player on any play who plays for any coach.

a..I'm in St. Helena as I type this.

St.Helena the island? Visited there in November 2015 and fell in love with the island although I think the airport will ruin the place

This had nothing to do with overuse. For some reason you idiots within the LSU fan base can't process that.

Kris Frost, the Auburn LB, face masked him while he was been driven the opposite way by other players.

It had nothing to do with the offense or RBs used.

They probably attribute what happened to Devon Gales and Eric LeGrand to overuse also. Tragically, freak paralyzing spine injuries sometimes occur during football and RW is quitting precisely because he was close to being in that situation and he doesn't want to be.

Lol at blaming Bielema for this too. It wouldn't surprise me if he slightly encouraged RW to make this difficult decision which is the wrong one for BB's football team, but the right one for RW's life.
