I read enough of your posts in this thread arguing with the opinions of others with respect to the possibility of an improved Bama in 2016 to understand that you disagree, despite intelligent posts explain their rationale (used correctly, mind you). You seem to prefer arguing. Enjoy yourself.

Third year with Kiffin. It is not that farfetched.

Bama was 45th in the nation in total offense. It's not like they were great and this year's offense can only get worse. Bama returns 3/5 of the OL, vast majority of the receving production, and Kiffen is still the OC. And so what if Bama loses Coker? Sure he wasn't a scrub nor was he really good. If Barnett/Bateman can be serviceable (just like every 1st year starting Bama QB under Saban) and the run game can avg over 200 per game (avg 199 in 2015 even with Henry's 2K) then it's not out of the question for the offense to be on par if not better than 2015's.

The whole key to bama's dominating front seven last season wasn't the starters. It was all about the seven experienced quality backups.

Because the tide returned five of seven starters off front seven for the '15 season. It was basically the same group of subs for the '14 and '15 seasons. All those backups in '14 gained valuable experience and were better for it in '15.

bama's backups going into '16 have nowhere near the experience that the '15 backups had.

Everyone is coming back. Even those that declared for the NFL are actually coming back. It's a Bama miracle.

I'm not sure what a rationale Bama fan would be.

Rational, maybe, but rationale?

Not as much, but they have played quite a bit.

Daron Payne, DeShawn Hand, Rashaan Evans. Those guys played a lot this season, especially against fastball teams.

Maybe. Clemson was a much better team but Bama still found a way to win. With the Bama name brand pushing them forward a 1-loss SEC west runner up Bama is almost definitely in the play-offs regardless. Basically.. beat LSU and you're probably in regardless of how the conference shakes out.

Although I think LSU finally wins one against Bama this time around unless Ritter

No doubt they played in '15. Probably at least two of those three and possibly all three will be starters in '16.

Who will be their backups?
