Cohen is #1 because of one year?

Van Horn and Mainieri are both better than Cohen

I'll give ya Manieri but no way on Van Horn. Van Horn has just been more of the same at UPig- just making them more consistent.

Cohen has rebuilt the worst SEC program in history and won them their only SEC title in history at Kentucky- and they have dropped right back since he left

Then he took over State program after Polk killed it and rebuilt it back into a CWS team.

1. Cohen. Have to go with Cohen here. Quirky as shite. Does stuff 180 degrees out of phase with others. Hard-arse disciplinarian but saw potential in letting the guys actually have a little fun while playing. Develops players like a boss
2. Maineri. Consistently recruits and fields spectacular teams. Don't know what it was about this group but they lacked focus in Omaha.

You could've just stopped there and passed the popcorn around .

Van Horn's team did what Cohen's is doing now just last season... Not to mention being one of the Final 4 teams remaining in 2009... He's good man... Just needs to nut up and hire a new hitting coach.

Literally have never heard of any of these people - nor have about 99.999% of Americans.

Then GTFO of the baseball thread, and go back to fapping to your Saban bobblehead doll.

According to your post history, your last 6 posts have been about how much you don't care about college baseball.

If you don't care about it, why is it the only thing you've talked about the last 2 days on here?

15 Straight NCAA Tournaments, 5 College World Series vs 5 NCAA Tournaments in 14 years and 1 College World Series

Cohen had one solid year at UK, which he failed to make it out of his own regional. The other years were mediocre and that's being generous.

You forget what Van Horn did at Nebraska? They hadn't been to the NCAA Tournament the prior 18 years he arrived and he took them to 3 Super Regionals and 2 College World Series in 5 seasons, he also won 3 Conference Regular Season and Tournament Titles in 5 years, Nebraska had no conference titles the prior 52 years.

Arkansas was struggling when Debriyn retired and Van Horn took over, he had us in the CWS in year 2.

Cohens team got hot this year, congrats. That doesn't change the fact that he's a average coach with a subpar resume.

Anybody is better than that overrated arse Todd Butler. He can recruit, but he can't develop worth a shite.

Most assume we're going after Cliff Godwin. We gotta fill the recruiting hole Butler left.

First off, why are you stalking my post history?

Second, the reason I keep commenting is because the same 40 or so posters are making sure it takes up about 75% of the front page of this forum.

no shite? I wonder why. It's almost like the CWS is happening right now.

Funny how you're becoming a mainstay in these threads too with your lack of caring. The only thing were missing is the other Bama poster and his hilarious "men's softball" joke which he's tried 15 times now...

Agreed. He also sacrificed wins to get these kids in the bullpen out there against superior talent. He didn't always save his aces for the conference games which made me furious at times. He wanted to see what these guys were capable of. Also constantly tweaking the line up all season affected our conference record.

Give me a fricking break with the excuses of why you lost damn near every series you played during the regular season.

Cohen is a MUCH bigger Douche than O'Sullivan and there's really no debating it.

Meh. Not really. Honestly think Cohen does more with less. As a coach that is why i rated him higher. I envy Maineri's ability to have kids busting down the door to play for him. I've made jokes about his whining but he gets the players.

Oh yeah, MSU has noooo talent

Maineri is easily #1. We just finished with the best regular season in LSU's history (a rich one), we won the SEC tourny, and we made it to Omaha by sweeping the regional and supers.

Sure, we blew it in Omaha, but Maineri is still tops. He also has a title.
