Auburn (twice) and LSU have each won an SEC Championship since the last time an East team won in 2008.

7 wins in 12 games is much better than 5 in 12. You are correct.

Truth, but Bama's won the west 3 yars in a row now without anyone really challenging them

Florida has won the East twice in a row, once with 4 losses. Do we have to start excluding their record because of dominance as well?

I'll bold LSU and UT, for comparison.

ETA: UT won more games in 2016 though. I was told they were better because of it.

LSU has won 5 of the last 6. The Vol's one win was the one right after Katrina. And they lucked out to win that one.

It was their win over Vandy that put them over the top. Oh wait...

And even with all that "hardware" no one is scared of your fat ogre coach who is 3-23 against the SEC as a head coach. LSU just aint what is used to be. Neither is Tenn but that's besides the point.

Still better than UT, which is my point.

Good Post. I'm late to the thread, but if you assign each accomplishment the following point value:

National Titles = 10 points
SEC TItles = 5 points
Top 5 Finish = 3 Points
Top 6-10 Finish = 2 points
Top 11-25 Finish = 1 point

... it yields the following Program rankings since integration:

1. Alabama- 233
2. Florida- 128
3. Auburn- 90
4. LSU- 88
5. Georgia- 86
6. Tennessee- 73
7. Ole Miss- 10
8. Kentucky- 9
8. Miss St.- 9
10. Vanderbilt- 2

This is fairly accurate, IMO.

It shows just how dominant Alabama has been. It also shows the giant gap between the "Big 6" and everyone else. But it also shows that Tennessee is emerging as the obvious weakest program of those "Big 6" in the modern era.

Auburn, LSU, and Georgia are all very close in modern day prestige, IMO. Not much difference between the three. For some reason LSU fans always want to act as if they are closer to #2 or #3 in the league, but the facts just don't prove that.
