Historically
Actually correct because the SEC West has only existed since 1991.

It brings me joy to see FSU at #22. That's the school outside of the SEC that I hate the most. They think they are the greatest program ever. Plus, they stole our 1993 NC...
Just kidding. But still, damn you Ramsey.

Read the thread. Not what the OP meant.

Lulz LSU is not number 2 in my opinion. I am going off of consistent decade by decade relevance. Some people on this board live in the last 3 years too much.
How old are you because you seem to not know WTF you're talking about.

Ole Miss is better (all time) than I thought.

Interesting rankings. The SEC West teams' combined average all-time ranking is #20. For comparative purposes, the SEC East teams' combined average all-time ranking is #32. Looks like whoever suggested splitting the conference into East/West divisions back in 1992 didn't take into account all-time standings to "balance" the strength of the divisions. These days, six of the top nine teams all-time in the conference are in the SEC West and four of the five bottom teams are in the East:
#1 SEC West (Alabama)
#9 SEC West (LSU)
#10 SEC East (Tennessee)
#11 SEC East (Georgia)
#12 SEC East (Florida)
#14 SEC West (Auburn)
#18 SEC West (Texas A&M)
#21 SEC West (Arkansas)
#27 SEC West (Ole Miss)
#32 SEC East (Missouri)
#45 SEC East (Vanderbilt
#48 SEC West (Mississippi State)
#50 SEC East (Kentucky)
#67 SEC East (South Carolina)

Well, lets look at it this way then:
SEC West "championships"
Alabama: 8 (92,93,94,96,99,08,09,12)
Auburn: 4 (97,00,04,10)
Arkansas: 4 (95,98,02,06)
LSU: 5 (01,03,05,07,11)
Ole Miss: 1 (03)
Ms. State: 1 (98)
Texas A&M: 0
Arky, you we're in Atlanta in 1998....
DON'T COUNT.
I that were the case, Auburn tied for the West like 6-7 times under Tubs...

And the only reason why they were in Atlanta in '02 is because we were on probation. Alabama would have given Georgia a much better fight than they did. Arkansas just laid down and died after getting hit in the mouth.

Auburn has had some good teams...Auburn football is more of a roller coaster, where when it is good, its really good, but just wait around, and you'll hit that 3 win season
Saban turned LSU football into a juggernaut, and the success has continued since the '01 SEC Championship. LSU reminds me now of what FSU used to be somewhat, reloading on defense. LSU has lacked the awesome QBs that make a difference between top 5 team and National Champs, but they've been the top SEC West team the last decade
