I think you need to do more research.

Link.

I follow Baseball America closely and Wahl doesn't even get mentioned.

His top 3 pitchers are Stanek, Appel, Manaea and Hultzen 4th.

No chance in hell Wahl is Top 10 as the 5th at best pitcher in college. Appel and Stanek will go Top 5, assuming Appel rebounds, then there will be a nice drop off.

Wahl will be lucky to go in the first round, his stuff is nowhere near Stanek's, hence Stanek being the projected #1 overall pick.

Lol @ "likely" first rounder compared to #1 overall pick.

Likely = lock?

Some shitbag website vs Baseball America the top website?

Desperate much?

It's obvious you had no idea who Wahl was before this thread. Stop looking like an idiot and leave now.

You've done nothing but proved me correct.

You've posted no links, googling Wahl turns up one link to a shitty website that says he is "likely" a first round pick.

Meanwhile, the top baseball prospect website by a mile, Baseball America, has Stanek the possible #1 overall pick.

Thanks for playing, you may tuck your tail and head out the door.

Just went to the #2 baseball website, PerfectGame, once again Wahl is mentioned below Stanek, Appel, Manaea, and even Whitson at Florida and Eades at LSU.

Wahl is lucky to make the Top 3 in the SEC at PerfectGame and isn't even mentioned under Top Arms on Baseball America.

Sorry OM fans, maybe next year.

You have 1 source. There is a lot of variety in MLB draft projections.

Wahl 9th

Wahl 12th

Wahl 4th

Wahl 10th

Wahl 12th

Wahl 9th

Wahl 13th

Wahl 13th

Wahl 11th

I could keep going. All I did was google 2013 mock draft and go down the list. Every one had him in the top 15.

I clicked the fist 2 links and all had him way behind Stanek.

Case and point.

Slight lean to Stanek because he actually beat us in the regular season -- when we were down 5 opening day starters.

You said that it wasn't close and by draft projections it is close. And Wahl's numbers are better. You have lost this argument.

I won't argue Stanek is projected to have higher upside. Wahl is further along at the current time though. That is all that matter this season.

Heh, Stanek made huge strides between his first year and last year to move him up that high by scouts.

Who's to say he won't take his skills further again this year and be even more dominant as everything you've posted says Stanek has the better stuff.

We'll find out in 9 weeks.

Wahl is better you can try to convince yourself that scouts mean more than actual numbers, but your the only one who will believe that. Especially when the scouts have Wahl and Stanek less than 10 picks difference. Your whole argument went to shite.

Lol, yeah because 10-12th pick is on the same level as 1st and 2nd pick.

Not a single site you will find has Wahl over Stanek, especially going forward to the next level.

Stop it, even your other fan agree'd.

Your whole argument was that numbers didn't matter because the scouts don't have Wahl in Stanek's league. But when we proved that yes, he was a top 15 prospect, that you said he wasn't on the 2nd page, you say that he still isn't on Stanek's level. We showed you the numbers and Wahl a good bit better last year. Your argument of him being much better in the Scout's eye's is now shot. What is your next attempt for an argument?

Here are the numbers again.

Stanek: 2.82 ERA, .229 OBA, 83/36 SO/BB
Wahl: 2.55 ERA, .211 OBA, 104/32 SO/BB

Correct, they don't. Wahl is in tier 2.

quote:

But when we proved that yes, he was a top 15 prospect

Which is still Tier 2, there are 4-5 other pitchers ahead of Wahl. Big difference.

quote:

you say that he still isn't on Stanek's level.

Because he's not, Scouts agree. Wahl isn't a Top 10 pick like I said earlier, Stanek is Top 3, and #1 on some.

quote:

We showed you the numbers and Wahl a good bit better last year.

And is still behind Stanek by multiple spots because he's just not as good a pitcher. Period.
