best pitcher in college and the best bullpen in college.

Wahl > Stanek
MSU pen > Arkansas pen

Numbers support both claims.

Yea ill take the guy with a .367 BA .480 OBP and hit .571 in the regional last year.

Congrats to him on batting 5 points worse in BA and 2 points worse in OBP compared to the SEC baseball tournament MVP, Adam Frasier.

He also lost all the pop surrounding him in the lineup -- while we lost literally no one -- and get CT back

Good argument.

Stanek: 2.82 ERA, .229 OBA, 83/36 SO/BB
Wahl: 2.55 ERA, .211 OBA, 104/32 SO/BB

Not sure you'll have to look it up.

All I know is Stanek is listed by Baseball America as the possible #1 overall pick in the draft.

Wahl could probably hold is jock though if Ryne let him.

Baseball America:

quote:

Stuff was never a question for Stanek; he has one of the biggest arms in college baseball, and he has shown overpowering raw stuff since his prep days. But his rapidly improving ability to utilize his stuff by attacking the strike zone (without trying too hard to be too fine) makes him a strong early candidate to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 draft.

Me neither, hopefully the idiot OM fans disappear.

I'm still laughing that they are such big homers, they are saying Wahl over Stanek.

Learn baseball if you wanna talk holy shite.

You are probably the third best team in MS this year. Only at OM can you lose over half of your total offensive production from a road 3-seed that barely made the tournament to an "expected regional host."
This is where your reasoning is off. Ole Miss was 20% behind extrapolated production last year. The SEC total difference was .02%. If college teams played 162 games this probably would have evened out more, but instead leaves 2012 OM incredibly unlucky (outside of unaccounted variables). Their expected production and ceiling will be lower for 2013 than 2012, but extrapolated production for 2013 should be at LEAST what actual production was for 2012.

I already did bruh.

#1 pick > Wahl not even first round

Simple.

Clearly not.

Obviously.

Wahl sucks, guy isn't even in the discussion with scouts.

Again, learn baseball.

I can't believe these idiots sometimes, amaze me every day.

Well Stanek must suck worse if his numbers are a good bit worse than Wahl's. and pro scouts projections for how a player will develop in 7 years really effects the next 7 months. You need to realize what your saying. You haven't given a valid argument yet

Damn no shite?

I thought we had smart fans.

Wahl isn't even mentioned among the best pitchers in college, and Stanek is ahead of Appel for #1 by everyone.

You guys need to research more.

Baseball America has Stanek the #1 overall pick, Wahl isn't even in the first round.

It's really not even close.

Stanek and Wahl are both projected top 10. Stanek has the edge by scouts because he is projected to have more room to develop in the minor league system. Wahl is ahead of him in development at this time though. That is all that will matter this season.
