Bianco is a great coach. He just needs to make a couple of changes with the assistants. the coach at usm may be a good coach but I doubt he's any better than bianco. A few 4 or 5 years ago bianco was one of the hottest coaches out there. I honestly think mossberg is the worst assistant in baseball and cost our team this year games. If he's not fired I will be severely disappointed.

You're a fool if you think the guy at usm wouldn't take the om job the second it was offered. Usm may be decent in baseball but ole miss has been a top 15-20 team the last 10 years and one of the better teams in the best conference there is.

Any talk of getting rid of Bianco is plain crazy. But, I am all for it!

Berry would leave for the Ole Miss job, it is one of the premier jobs in the country. Top 5 attendance, great facilities, much better pay. Only a dumb frick wouldnt leave USM to go to Ole Miss or any other SEC job besides Kentucky.

And Golson is the top baseball prospect in the state, he will go in the top 3 rounds and get over slot money because they can spread the bonus out over 5 years because he is a 2 sport athlete.

I dont think theres real talk for this season, but with what we return next year, if we arent improved I do think he's gone. That should be fairly easy with all our pitchers coming back and 7 of our 9 fielders. Plus with Mossberg and Jordan King gone, alone, we should be 5 games better.

Goforth is gone. He's got the pitches that MLB teams salivate over. I'll be 100x's more shocked if Goforth comes back than I will Mossberg coming back.

Morgan's also gone.

Bianco not going anywhere anytime soon.

After all, one omaha trip = Bianco-Swayze field in 20??

Morgans gone

I'll believe it when I see it. I agree Morgan would be dumb to stay with his shoulder injury. No telling what he'll be next year, but MLB scouts arent stupid. Why would they take two guys who havent proved anything this year, just because they have potential, when they'll be available next year. I think the downside on both him of them will be great enough to push them way back in the rounds, but if the players wanna go I guess nothing can stop them. If they both do come back they have a chance at being 3-5 rounds higher next year I believe.

Matt Tracy, Trent Rothlin, Eric "pimp juice" Callender, Jordan King, and Miles Hamblinare the only ones I can think of. Two were starters, but only one in the field, Tracy was a midweek pitcher and DH.

Goforth has proven he has MLB quality pitches.

Mid to high 90's fastball and a low to mid 90s cutter. MLB scouts love him.

I dont believe it. His cutter is nice. He has no control over his slider and if he gets behind in the count and the hitter knows the fast ball is coming, it doesnt matter how fast it is. Plus he has zero endurance. He'd never be a starter. MLB scouts are looking for nasty shite from relievers and closers, but they're also looking for control. Goforth can control two pitches, his change up and fast ball.

I also think goforth will bolt. I think Morgan will be back unless he gets picked really high. If he was to come back and show that he's 100 percent healthy and have an awesome year, he could make a whole lot more money. I think scouts may be hesitant with him and his shoulder problems.

We should return to a top 20 team next year. I think Austin wright will develop into one of the best pitchers in the league if he stays. shite on second thought he could be a really high pick, a lefty that can brush 95 or 96. He may also be gone, pretty sure he's draft eligible (junior?).

If Morgan and Goforth come back, then youre right. We should be a top 25 team and pushing for omaha all season. If we lose them both, I dont think we'll be "really good", but we'll be better making it to Hoover and being a 2nd seeded team. Our defense will be vastly improved and so should our hitting, but I still dont think we'll be a regional hosting type team.

BUT....

If we do get David and Jake back we could be very special. Crouse, Goforth, and Wright would be one of the most complete starting rotations in the SEC and we would have Huber, Wahl, and Morgan in our bullpen. frickin sick pitching staff right there. We return almost all our postion players so our defense (our weakness this year) would be very much improved and we return 6 of our 9 hitters including 4 of our top 5. It could be special, but more than likely pank will be right and we'll just be mediocre, which would be an improvement.

Anybody that can throw 97 consistently and touch 99 has MLB quality. His shite may be flat now but if he is worked with and they can develop movement, he will make the show one day. I'm not saying he will, hell he probably won't but he does have a quality fastball and cutter

People are saying this too. I dont know. I really dont understand guys leaving early in baseball like that.

On Morgan returing... It seems very similiar to Scott Bittle's situation. He too was regarded as one of the top closers in the nation, but was injured and came back to prove he was healthy. I would assume Bittle was much higher rated.

Is there a way we can make sure Mossberg will be gone, short of hiring a hitman?

I loved McCready's tweet after the second saturday game saying something like "If this game were in Oxford, Mossberg would need an escort out of the stadium to make it out alive." There is no fricking way he comes back next year.

I know as a senior you don't have as much leverage to argue money. I dont think that you lose a lot of money like that but some.

Anybody heard what bittle is doing now? He still playing ball or his arm finally fall off? Dear god that guy had some nasty shite he threw.
