I appreciate all the serious responses. I'm not used to that on here.

Tell y'all this...I'm glad we only have to face LF one more time

Although...we have to face chubb 2 more times

You and your team aren't deemed a threat for the foreseeable future so we're not allowed to frick with you

I have to apologize. Part of my analysis was that LSU played two divisional games. UGA did also. Vandy and USC. That being said, LSU's games have been pretty high stakes. Georgia looks like a more complete team so far. I'll be interested to see how it shakes out.

dont' apologize, you're right. LSU/msu and LSU/AU were more "serious" games than UGA/vandy and UGA/SC. 'preciate your insight. Wish all LSU fans were like you.

At birth I was given the gift of an extraordinary twig and berries set. I use it every chance I get.

Over last three weeks Fournette doesn't have the most carries in the conference, Alex Collins does.

For the season Collins and Hurd lead the SEC with 86 rushing attempts.

Honestly I had this same exact though. I think it was the AU game LF had run like 5 plays in a row down to like 8 yards from the goal line. Then he put in DW who got it to the 2. Then he put LF back in when we already had like a 2 or 3 TD lead, to punch it in. I honestly think les is doing what he can, within reason, to give him a shot to win it.

If so, why aren't they scoring?

State and Cuse both have pretty good run defenses.

Not trying to troll here, Fournette is amazing.

However going back to his senior year of HS, Adrian Peterson has finished a HS, college or pro season relatively healthy only three times. He is a very violent runner who seeks out contact and plays the game a lot like Fournette.

Its just rare that his running style leads to a full schedule of healthy starts. For instance, every game he has violently ripped himself out of an ankle tackle with sheer leg strength at least once. Its incredibly impressive, but one of these games he's going to try that and the defender is going to hang on and he's going to seperate bones in his ankle or frick up the ligaments.

Legit question, i believe it has a small bit to do with the Heisman , but not entirely. If you really watch Buga , he seems to get stronger as the game goes on. Its almost like he runs harder the more carries he gets. He is just one of those freaks that dont seem to tire.

Deep thoughts

It is a fact guys who run as powerfully as he does often effectively injure themselves by trying to do to much. It ended Bo Jackson's career, has limited Peterson in college and the NFL, ended Marion Barber's career, etc. Marshawn Lynch is about the only guy I can think of who runs like that and has stayed relatively healthy.

So what gives here? Is Miles changing his entire philosophy to give LF more carries to try to win him a heisman, or does he not believe enough in the backups to give them more carries?

Williams is a very good back and Guice is averaging almost 7 ypc. Les has no issue with the backups. Hell, Fournette barely played more than a half vs Auburn.

Running backs dont get stronger or better as the game goes on, the defense just gets more tired from being leaned on by the offensive front all game. They start missing more tackles, taking plays off, etc. and it makes the runners look better by comparison.
