Vandy will be a bottom 3 team in the league.

SEC basketball is so embarrassing and has been for several years now. Really hard to try to follow it when you only get 3 bids in the NCAAT, and one of them is a 12 seed as an automatic qualifier. With Tennessee losing all the momentum with their program after the Bruce Pearl crap and Vandy falling off a cliff, we've fallen to worse than some mid-major conferences. Really no excuse for it. LSU's baseball team has had a higher avg attendance and generated more revenue than the basketball team has the past 2 years now. Even as popular as LSU baseball is, that's pretty bad.

Damn, we're basically a mid-major in basketball with a couple elite teams dragging the rest of us along. There's no reason for the SEC to be this weak in basketball.

one downfall of y'all leaving the Big 12. I guess it's good for the SEC adding a school that has valued basketball, but sucks for y'alls RPI

Vandy lost basically their entire team for a multitude of different reasons. Feel like a few were booted from the team in a matter of a couple months

only role players, they gained more then they lost.

That's not what I want to hear. At least we get a game with yall in the Siegel Center. If it wasn't getting so close Mardi Gras I would prolly try and make that game instead of the Richmond game.

The A10 might of been better last year. But I think the SEC is getting better. UK had a down year(for them) last year. LSU is getting better. Some of the really down teams are hopefully getting a little better too, to improve the bottom of the SEC.

Looks right to me. I don't think UT has a top 25 team, despite being placed there in various pre-season publications.

I think you guys do. The question is if Martin is the man to get them playing as a top 25 team. I don't think Missouri should be a top 25 team right now, but they'll work their way into it.

Mizzou does have three four star recruits coming in this year so maybe they will get them back in the top 25.

Tennessee is back on the upswing again too. They probably would've been in the NCAA tournament last year if they'd beaten Alabama in the SEC tournament. I expect they'll comfortably be a tournament team this year.

Guarantee you someone in the midwest or something didn't know KCP went pro and based his vote solely on that.

I'm shocked as hell that we aren't picked dead last in the league. We won't be able to score on anyone..we'll be lucky to average 50 points a game.

Again, that's why we brought you Ruffians with us to the SEC.

Yea, it would help for UT to be back as well. If we can get 5 teams in, and maybe another team or 2 that just miss, that would be a great step in the right direction.
obviously UK and UF will make it. Hopefully Mizzou, LSU and UT can as well(very possible). Then Bama be in the conversation till the end, maybe Arky as well.
How is Bama supposed to be this year? As a VCU fan as well, I always liked Grant, and thought he would be a good coach in the SEC.

How much did SLU lose?

They lost an inside presence, though not a huge scorer, and another 6'8" kid who could shoot it from outside. The second kid is a pretty big loss IMO.

They still have a couple dynamic guards and a small forward type who is solid. Might be lacking in shooting behind the arc this year.

I think he was talking about SLU, not Mizzou. Don't think you guys play SLU.

SEC teams really need to do well in the non-con this year to boost our national rep. We had some bad losses last year heading into SEC play, and then just beat up on each other over the conference season.
