Not true. That still leaves five wins over Utah St, Arky St, UTC, UK and Vandy. I say they beat Mizzou and get their 6th win.

Should be able to win all those games except Oklahoma and should and be favored in all but Oklahoma. Yes that means I would expect them to beat VT as the the Hokies seem to be the one team that is as having a hard a time as rebuilding their program as UT is.

Vandy will be worse. They should still beat UK. If they can beat Arky St, UTC, and Utah St, then they just need one upset. They got one upset last year. It's not implausible to think they upset somebody.

It's called skill positions bro. Also, improved LBs and secondary. We have some talent on D, but poor recruiting and coaching by the previous staff has made it difficult recently. Our QB's aren't gonna be worse than last year. Regression on the lines will hurt, but I don't see much regression anywhere else. Overall we should be a game better than last year IMO.

It's plausible to think of them getting an upset when they are loaded with veteran experience, like last season...
When they are loaded with newcomers, it's just as plausible to think they will lose a game they shouldn't...

I don't disagree, but I think they have 2 games guaranteed. I still think they have more talent than Vandy and UK, both of which they get at the end of the year once UT has more experience. They don't have as much experience as Mizzou and not quite as much talent, but they get them at home after a bye week and UK at home later in the year once UT has developed.
I would be more concerned about Utah St and Chuckie Keeton than UK or Vandy if I was them. If they drop that game at home to open the year, then I could see 3-9 being a real possibility - they will be mentally fricked.
ETA: I was little unclear. I meant they get a bye week, then UK at home, then Mizzou at home and then Vandy. Their season really comes down to that 3 week stretch and the Utah St. game. Sad, I know.
