We return the most letterman in the country, have the longest home winning streak, and will have the best OL/RB/QB in the East.

Oh boy the butt hurt against Alabama and LSU is strong in this thread Damn SEC play can't get here fast enough. aTm and Mizzou need a good molesting to clean up around here. Even most of the Aubs are more logical.

I think people are in for a shock, Florida's easily a top 3 team in the East (they've finished top 3 in the east basically every year but one for two decades)-- and might be the favorite (the West rotation holds them back from being the clear favorite)-- I get the skepticism but Florida is shifting dramatically on offense from a ball control pro style approach to the hurry up no huddle spread option-- think a better version of the Duke offense that shredded A&M in the Peach bowl last year.

As for the West; AU is #1. UA has way too many green positions - leadership positions no less - to call them preseason favorites.

While I agree we do have to break in a QB, our RBs, WRs, TEs, DL lose no one. Mosley and Clinton-Dix are key losses, but Geno Smith and Reuben Foster/Reggie Ragland is just about as well as you could replace those 2. Saying that, Deion Belue wasn't an all world corner. Tony Brown as a freshman is better. Humphrey as well. Our defense isn't what anyone should worry about. Between Jackson, Brown, and Humphrey the CBs will be better than last year. DL is the best in the SEC, Best LB corp in the SEC, and a top 3 Secondary, with potential to be the best. Landon Collins is Eric Berry-esq QB is the only big concern really. C-Rob looks better than Cyrus in pass protection, without the swat. While it probably is the most important position, every other group is great. Scott looks to be as good as Mandell, Foster is addition by subtraction

Auburn breaks in people too and I think returning your QB is what makes it seem like you didn't lose as much as it appears. You lose your Punter, Kicker, LT, RB, best G, 2 all-american DEs, Jake Holland addition by subtraction, Chris Davis.

I think the big difference is, Alabama replaces their key guys with 5 stars. God Bless Nick Saban's recruiting

2. AU - No question this team has the talent and coaching to be considered one of the top 5 teams in the country. I think Bama's defense and skill players are slightly better and therefore Bama has the advantage.

skill players might be close (although bama still probably has the edge). defense is no where close

RB is close, but WR/TE isn't as close. Coates/Williams are beasts, but I think Bama has a little bit more depth.

Closer than RB hands down. Coop, White, Foster, Black, Jones, Howard is ridiculous. But Coates, Williams, Louis, Uzomah is nothing to snub your nose at.

CAP, Grant, Barber, and Thomas is not close to Yeldon, Henry, Drake, Tenpenny, Jones, Fowler. Jovon Robinson, Thomas, and Barber would be a conversation, but still Bama.

Next season I expect it to be damn close at RB.
Robinson, Thomas, Barber, Kerryon Johnson
Henry, maybe Drake, Scarbrough, Tenpenny, Jones, Flowers is splitting hairs.

Key word history, With the way We're recruiting now, I think our best is yet to come.
My list would be:
1.USC
2. a.UGA b.Missouri
4. Florida
With uga and Missouri just a pinch behind South Carolina.

What I've learned from this thread is that Mizzou fans don't really understand football, or at least don't understand the SEC West.

I'd flip Mizzou and UGA and LSU and Auburn, but the teams themselves seem correct.

Any of them probably capable of beating the other on the right day.

Call me a hater but I just don't see with all the losses Missouri having the kind of season they had last year. Also their schedule is much less forgiving this fall.

1. SC
2. UGA

BIG GAP

3. UF/UT/Missouri (all go 4-4 in SEC play)

1. Bama
2. Auburn
3. LSU
