I think we should all just admit 04 was a down year for the SEC.
A lot of great players left the year before and Auburn capitalized.

Most of the competitive teams had 1st year starters or freshman playing QB.
Heck even Bama was hit with Probation in 2002 and lost 21 scholarships and 2 years from bowl appearances...

MO Claiborne win the Thorpe and Tm7 won the Bednarik and sec def player of the year and heisman finalist. It was the second of Back to back Thorpe and Bednarik award winners at lsu. TM7 is the only true sophomore to ever win the Bednarik

Its pretty rare for young nfl defensive players to make all pro. Pro bowls are a dime a dozen. But all pro is legit.
