Good lord, you people are insane.
Tell me right now a better resume than OSU. Name one in the entire country

Screw that. I want the three weakest teams possible. The objective is to win, not make everyone feel good.
Sure but I want to beat OSU's arse. And we would easily, imo.

I think as a Bama fan it would be rather duplicitous to look at the overall CFB scene and keep Ohio State out this year with a similar set up we were in in 2011 and we used a similar argument fervently as well. They had a razor thin loss against one of the other top teams and defeated several other big time teams as well. So I have no problem putting them in over say a Washington who really skated through a weaker schedule.

heres where I'm saying it's all name
They are basically throwing out the penn state head to head game and putting ohio state in
But somehow the Ohio state overtime win trump cards Wisconsin even getting a chance. That makes no sense whatsoever
I would get it if Ohio state just dominated all the teams the played and it was just a blip that they lost. But they haven't. They've struggled against a lot of teams. Good and bad
And to give them a pass for not winning anything just doesn't fly. They don't have to pay this extra game which they could easily lose. Wisky is a good team. A really good team
I think they are cherry picking things for Ohio state to get in. If two big ten teams get in then fine. But if Buckeyes are only, one then that's just wrong

I'm not flaming the buckeye guy on here either
If Florida wins the champ game they shouldn't get in. I get those circumstances. But Wisconsin is a good damn team
The Buckeyes just don't deserve this pass. Too many mich st, northwestern, etc games for my liking
And Oklahoma sucks. LSU would beat them right now. Period

I think Ohio State is clearly one of the 4 best teams and has the 2nd best resume, the best if they hadn't lost a game.
However, it's going to be funny as we get deeper into this and start bringing up all the ardent "CONFERENCE CHAMPS ONLY" articles and quotes from Big Ten people (totally geared towards the SEC) come back to bite their asses.

MeatPants I think you are being disingenuous
Ohio State is without a doubt one of the 4 best teams.
You and the committee just have to answer this one question: Do we want the 4 best teams in the playoffs or not?
Thats all it comes down to
If they want to make it conference champs only club then lay it out there and we will all proceed forward knowing the score

The problem with Ohio State is...if Penn State beats Wisconsin...
Penn State won Ohio State's and Michigan's division championship
Penn State won Ohio State's conference championship
Penn State beat Ohio State head to head 4 weeks ago
So, not only is Ohio State NOT a conference champion, they did not win their own division.

Honestly I don't know if Ohio state is one of the top four teams. Why does everyone say that
I think it's pretty damn close. And while these other teams have to play another game to win championships against top ten teams. Teams better than Oklahoma for crissakes
Ohio state gets a pass for winning frick all. frick all. Hell they didn't even win the life championship. Tenners got that
I find it ridiculous. I think what helps the Buckeyes is the other "automatic" tea,s like Clemson and Washington aren't that great. But the Buckeyes don't deserve it over wisky or penn state. They just don't. They aren't clearly better than those two teams If two big ten teams get in then I'm ok with it

Wins are wins, but you must admit that several OT games, plus sub 7 point wins, do not imply that your team is one of the best in the country.
The best teams win handedly, with one, maybe 2 close games a year, not 4 or more.
Case in point: who would Sparty claim to be better, the Buckeyes or the Nittany Lions?

OSU is in regardless. They were the #2 team in the final rankings and beat the #3 team. They aren't dropping to #5 . The winner of PennSt and Whiskey also gets in. Two Big10 teams in and Washington and their weak record are out.
1.Bama
2.Clemson
3.OSU
4.PennSt

Now go frick yourself

I hope to go we get one of Washington/Wisconsin/Penn State at #4.
Alabama will maul them to death. It'll be just like the opener against USC.

I mean yea they are worrying, but as you said wins are wins. When SEC games came down to being close in 2006-2014 it was because "SEC has extreme depth". An Undefeated Bama in 2009 almost lost to a below average Tennessee team. I mean Bama needed 2 blocked kicks to win that game. Look at UF 2006 or LSU 2007. Both those teams had losses and multiple close calls.
I am not for sure saying the B1G is that good, but it may be?

Would be great if urban was left out of the playoffs, wouldn't it folks?

Could you make a case for being in over Penn State?
I think the bucks get in because they are IMO the 2nd best team, and thats what the committee is suppose to do is put the best 4 in, but if it came down to the last spot being OSU and PSU with them winning the big 10, i dont see how one could justify it

OSU 4-1 against top 25 teams, 3-1 against top 10 teams
PSU 1-1 against top 25 teams (will get their 2nd if they win B1G game), 2 losses

PSU 1-0 vs the team they are being compared to
OSU 0-1 vs the team
OSU 0-1 vs the team
