I mean the committee has always done head to head when teams have equal numbers of losses. Was the reason Clemson was ahead of Louisville when each had 1 loss. PSU has 2 losses, how does that no matter to anyone?

Just wait until WISC beats PSU. Then the H2H will be a selling point by their fans.

They have 2 L's but if they beat wiscy they have the big ten title and head to head over OSU

You use a resume when the teams are in some sort of tie or have not played

OSU is in neither

Its especially interesting because of how much crying Jim Delany has done about the importance of conference champions in the past 5 years. He has insisted time and time again winning your conference should be a deciding factor in making the championship.

Guessing he is suddenly singing a different tune this year.

There are 4 things to break a tie when teams are at the margin. Everyone here harping on Conference title and Head to Head are ignoring the other 2:

? Championships won
? Strength of schedule
? Head-to-head competition (if it occurred)
? Comparative outcomes of common opponents (without incenting margin of victory)

That is the EXACT wording from the mandate of the committee. OSU wins the 2nd and 4th, and has 1 less loss

Ohio State is a huge brand and would generate far more intrigue than Wisconsin or PSU. I'd be stunned if they get left out

If the committee picks teams based on who has the most TV sets then this will severely water down college football as a whole. And I'm saying this as a fan of team who's brand would absolutely work in their favor.

OSU was ranked #2 before beating #3. They aren't going to drop at all. They are already in. Now they won't have to play an extra game and risk any injuries. Pretty lucky
