That's not actually true anymore. It was 10 years ago, though.

So, there is the Vol fans list of Gruden, Stoops, Saban, Meyer, Kelly, Mullen (I guess), and there is the realistic list. What are the names on the realistic list, because that is what should be talked about?
You can chat all day, and it seems you do, about coaches that won't even return calls, but you should focus on realistic names.
Or the fact that Butch probably stumbles into a win this weekend at home, and isn't in danger of being fired at all.

Merlins wants no part of the East.

If I am reading this correctly, the best thing about Starkville is leaving.
There's as much to do in Starkville as there is in Oxford. There's probably more to do around Starkville than there is around Oxford.
In Starkville
MSU campus museums (There's like 3)
Bars & Restaurants
Cotton District
Mayhew Brewery - local IPA's
Civil War Artillery Museum
Outside Starkville
Noxubee Wildlife Refuge
Mossy Oak golf resort
Old Waverly golf resort
Columbus eateries
The Pony

Not happening. Dan's happy at low expectations U. No reason to go to unrealistic expectations U.
15 more years at an average of $5,000,000 per year vs. 3 years at $7,000,000. The math does itself.

We have bar.
We have food.
We have museum.
We have paved roads.
We have wildlife.

Why do you continue to talk VOLS with how uninformed you are?
I don't think your comments are meant to be trolls, you are just that simple. Nobody is talking about Urban or Saban lol, and Stoops/Gruden at this point is nothing more than troll threads to get dullards such as yourself riled up.
Tennessee will be the premier opening this offseason, you think the best coach out there that VOLS could lure would be Dan Mullen? There are numerous coaches out there who would be just as good as Mullen (Whittingham, Fuente, Brohm, etc)
What job is Chip Kelly waiting for IYO?

Did someone photoshop McElwain's teeth onto Mullen? Also, I think Mullen would jump at the chance to go to Florida with his old AD. But that job won't be available. McElwain's buyout is too big, so we're stuck with him.

I was under the impression that Mullen and Sticklin weren't on the best of terms

Could be. I don't know. I thought they had a good relationship from what I've heard. People say different things.

He doesn't post about it often, but per my sources he has been to a VOL game or two. Thus, he is an expert.
But really, David Ricky created an excellent hot board thread for simpletons like him. Saban and Meyer are not on tOfficial board iirc.

You guys start threads everyday about Stoops and Kelly. I was just asking for realistic and not fan expectations.
If you want reality, and I'm sure bandwagon fans such as you (sporting the Georgia logo and all) Butch is likely not getting fired at all.
I was just asking you for realistic candidates, and of course, you can't answer that.
I think you ought to drive hard after Petrino. He might be the most realistic name out there and will be available the day his season ends (if not before).

Mullen will never go back to UF. That's pretty much in stone.

This is likely correct. I could see Tennessee and A&M battling it out for Petrino. He would be great at either, but especially A&M.

You truly are retarded if you think Butch is coach in 2018.

Be a bandwagon fan if that is all you choose to do, and just want to hurl insults with no substance.
Rooting against your team is very poor behavior for a fan base. It's sad for the players who chose to come to the University of Tennessee, regardless of what you think of Butch.
Carry on, I'm out. No since continuing this if you have nothing constructive to say.
