Knoxville is like NYC, LA, London, and Paris rolled into one compared to Starkville. Yeah, Starkville is that bad.

Seriously, I know that's just a troll post, but I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that someone who sings Rocky Top and wears orange and white checkerboard overalls is not in a position to run smack on any other fan base in the conference, except maybe Missouri. The University of Tennessee is an embarrassment to the SEC, and has been for some time. See those people laughing? They aren't laughing with you...they're laughing at you.

bro. I've already explained this. Dan Mullen is going to TN and Gruden is coming to starkville. Everyone knows how much Gruden loves him some cowbell

No, brain damaged is thinking UT is better than anyone else right now. UT is not even the best SEC program in it's own state right now.

Brain damaged is thinking Mullen can't achieve more at State than at UT. He had State #1 in the country for six weeks a couple of years ago. When is the last time UT has been in the top 10 (other than recruiting rankings)? It would be even worse for you if UT played in the West.

Love how Vol fan totally ignores that Mullen is currently getting paid $4.8 mill a year at State with a raise coming and a big buyout. You can't afford him. End. Of. Thread.

VOLS were literally top 10 last annum with Lyle Allen Jones, but continue this odd melt.

Look, I root for Miss St when they are not playing Tennessee since my wife’s family went there. And Miss St has a good team. That being said, Starkville sucks. That was the most boring week of my life I just spent there. I was so happy to be back in Knoxville.

Just curious, how is Tennessee an embarrassment to the SEC? I could understand how Butch could be an embarrassment to the VOLS, but otherwise, how? Because they aren't at the top of the East? Because they are underwhelming fans and opposing fanbases alike? Because they are underperforming their talent level? All things may be true, but they are still coming off back to back 9 win seasons and haven't lost to an OOC opponent since Oklahoma in September of 2015 (who went on to lose 1 game and then to Clemson in the Orange Bowl). Since then, they've beaten respectable Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech teams (among other smaller schools).

If we're looking for SEC embarassments, let's take a look at Mizzou, 34&Chavis, and the ever scandalous Ole Miss.

Don't forget Kensucky, where football season is the pep rally for basketball.

Tennessee isn't an embarrassment to the SEC. It's a great school with excellent history in many sports. There's no need for y'all to get into a pissing match with MSU right now though. His salary has placed y'all out of the market for him. Quit glossing it over. His record vs ranked teams is no way worthy of dropping $35-40 mill to poach him from MSU so this discussion is pointless.

Dan Mullen gives zero sharts what you think about Starkville. If you guys want him that's fine so do many others.

I just don't understand the melt from DAWGS ITT when Mullen is, at best, the 5th choice on the hot board for VOLS

Honestly, I think Mullen is way down on our list. I wouldn’t worry about it.

I see Mullen at ND
Chip Kelly at UCLA
Petrino at UT
Somebody severely overpaid at A&M - probably an established coach looking for an easy retirement
Sumlin at ASU

Those would be my guesses.

Agreed.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be satisfied with Mullen, but there are several names (not including Kelly, Gruden, Kiffin, or Petrino) that I'd rather have.

Also. Both Memphis University and Vanderbilt has hired better coaches than you guys have the last 5 years. Maybe knoxville blows big donkey balls and can't attract real coaching talent

Brian Kelly isn't getting fired, ND look very good so far this season.

A&M won't fire Sumlin if he wins 8-9 and that Freshman QB continues to improve at the rate he is.
