Which QB would you rather have?

I'd rather have any qb that can score more than 3 points against Bama.

Patterson. that's not a knock on Stidham. Patterson, with some weapons would be outstanding.

I think if Patterson was at a place with players around him and a scheme with more than 11 plays he'd be Jonny Manziel Jr.
However, he makes a bunch of ill-timed decisions. I just don't know if that is because he feels like he has to take risks or its just the way he plays.

A lot of guys would put up great numbers in a system that has easy reads to wide open guys running down the middle of the field like Briles had (see every QB to ever play under Briles).
Stidham has great talent, but his giant unknown is how he will perform going forward with a good pass rush closing in. If he improves on that he's going to be dynamite. If not, he'll throw for a million yards in 80% of games and be just another guy in the 2-3 biggest games of the year.

John Parker Wilson had beautiful hair. Him. I’ll take him and his ‘Bama bangs.

Gundy has guys who kind of do the same, though. Throw for 10 billion yards in most of their games, then have 2-3 games a year against OU/TCU/whoever where they play a fast athletic defense and throw a bunch of picks, take bad sacks, etc.
But yea, he would throw for all the yards in a good Big XII like scheme where he makes quick throws and long throws to streaking wide outs. His arm talent is off the charts.

This. Love his upside and he's taken tremendous strides over past week but he still hasn't shown ability to consistently complete passes when faced with a pass rush or when there's tight coverage. His bad moment against State was when all his options were covered and he bailed out of pocket too early, leading to pressure and he panicked. That still concerns me

Patterson had zero 3rd down conversions.
Zero.
Zero.
