I'm a woman and I hate softball, but last time I checked the baseball team was an out away from going to from Omaha last year. I consider that 'winning'

Wait just a minute there. Baseball has greatly overachieved the last two seasons. The problem is the lack of well known players and quality facilities.
Softball on the other hand, has gotten a lot of money put into the program.

yea id say bama baseball has done well the past 2 seasons. a hell of alot better than LSU has

Lack of quality facilities= understatement of the year. We'll loose Gaspard sooner rather than later if we don't at least ATTEMPT to put some money into the baseball program.

Well, let's close down all the women's sports then.
And I like Bama Baseball, I just got tired of the other person complaining.

We can't do that. Women's rowing actually makes money.

Per twitter.....

Don't have solid numbers, but Murphy's salary at LSU will be more than $200k and less than $300k per year
Source familiar with situation tells me Alabama matched LSU's salary offer, which will make Patrick Murphy highest-paid in softball

I wonder why he'd leave? I know the new facility we built is legit, we lead the all-time series against every school in the SEC, and have the most combined SECT and SEC titles...but still, we are no better than Alabama.
However, I'll take it

I would think that Alabama's 7 WCWS apperances to LSU's 2 would match anything LSU has done in the conference.

I know, I never said we were a better job. We have as high of a ceiling as Alabama, but to say it's higher is homersim.
Whatever, I'm not complaining

I feel sorry for the Bama girls. He didn't even tell them face to face he was leaving. He waited until they were out of town, and called them.

now it makes sense why he and the 1st base coach didnt seem to give a shite at the WCWS.
and why he was growing that goatee.
