It's like people have no idea that you can be a fan before you're old enough to go to College, and then you go somewhere else for whatever reason. I've had many childhood friends who will still watch every Bama game because they've been Bama fans their whole life. They didn't change their allegiance to a new school just because they went there.

Who would want to watch Washington, and why?

LSU is likely the same. For that matter, most big state schools in the South probably are. I would guess that larger percentages of Auburn, Vandy and aTm season ticket holders are alums than at most schools down here.

I would guess that close to 80% of A&M season ticket holders are graduates.

You're saying this on a board that thinks most of Louisiana is Cajun whatsoever and that New Orleans is the home of Cajun food, which is supposedly fried. It's generally a waste of time to discuss Louisiana nuances here.

Somehow even though UW is such a vaunted academic institution their football coach is still the highest paid public employee in the state...

That's because everyone else is a Longhorns fan.

So you're telling me it's hard for Washington to attract outside support? Color me shocked with that powerhouse of a program. I guess that makes them better somehow?

Just in general a higher alumni loyalty. That university in Austin also resides in the largest city in the country without a professional sports team. They have a lot of corporate owned seats.

I tend to agree. There's not a whole lot of a reason for anyone to be an A&M fan if they didn't go to school there or don't come from an A&M family. It's typically easier to be a Texas fan for better athletics over time. It's just a really, really strange place and culture to anyone who didn't go there. That's not a knock, fwiw. I think Aggies realize that.

Well, from the few episodes of both that I've seen, it's easier to understand the Duck Dynasty people... and they have better teeth than those in Swamp People. That's probably not something that you want to point out. You should just let people believe what they want.

Cool troll, bro. Coonasses certainly are coonasses. Coonasses also come from a small part of the state.
