Bob Stoops made Oklahoma look bad...not me. I'm just being honest.

I completely agree! I think Coach O has learned a lot since his days at Ole Miss and I expect him to have an excellent first year. He definitely would not have been my first choice but I don't think his failure as head coach at Ole Miss guarantees that he will also fail at LSU. The players seem to love him and I believe he is an incredible motivator and an excellent recruiter. We may not win the west but I believe he will have us ready to compete every Saturday and he will allow Coach Canada enough control over our offense that we will actually have a passing game for the first time in quite a few years. Couple that with Aranda's defense and I feel confident that all the pieces are in place for Coach O to have a successful tenure at LSU!

Stupid. Take an objective look at his career and it is pure stupid to say he is going to fail.

He did pretty good at USC as head coach.... he did really good at LSU last year. Maybe he flops but there is no evidence that this is the case.

He is doing a better job than Les did and he lasted quite a while.

Les won the sec west in his first season. Coach O has a lot to live up to.

I'm not worried about two years down the road, worried about being able to sustain recruiting and continue to attract the best assistants over the long haul.

I will preface this by saying, yes, I give L6U shite on here, it's easy to do with your fans emotional instability. But, for the most part I've always kinda liked LsU. I like Orgeron, he seems like a genuine guy and he loves LSU. But he has not proven anything yet as the actual head coach.

To your points,

Ok Oeauxs was interim head coach at USC. It is a lot easier to come in RahRah a team that has their backs against the wall, us against the world and that type of Rah Rah than it is as the full time coach.

To say he has done better than Les is just a bunch of crap and not true.

Specifically, what has he done better than Les? He certainly didn't beat Bama, lost to UF in one the more important games of the season. His track record is not good at all as the HC. Sure that was at Ole Miss, he will do better at L6u, no doubt, any coach would, IMO. But the question is, will he be able to win titles at L6u, I don't see it and if you are really honest you don't either. He'll do pretty much the same as Miles has done for past 3 years. How many 3-4 loss seasons will y'all give him?

Changed OC's. We are not going to be title contenders until we get a QB. Les could not do it, have to wait and see if "O" can but I KNOW we have a better OC now--how much better remains to be seen.

shite, y'all had Cam pegged as the greatest OC hire of all times, he coached Tom Brady and was gonna make LSU dominant.

Pretty Sure Mett wasn't a bad QB, but Les gets no credit for him.

Fact is you don't know he will be any better and you have the same QB.

I don't peg that shite on Cam though. Les wouldn't even let Cam run the offense he wanted to. He was Les' little puppet. Cam was known for how often he used his TE's in the NFL, but at LSU I can probably count on 1 hand how many designed TE plays I saw. Even former players came out saying that Les would take over complete play calling once we got in the redzone. Say what you want about Orgeron (I personally wanted Herman and was pissed at the hire), but as long as he lets his coordinators coach and not try to take over, we will be fine.

Please find any post of me stating Cam was a good OC I will wait. Fact I know Canada is a better OC.
Yes same QB as last year that's why I stated we will have to wait and see if "O" can recruit a good QB. We are better off at the coaching position just not sure by how much. We should find out this year I am willing to support coach "O" for this year if he somehow does worse than Les did the last 4 years I'd be ready for a change.
