Maybe I'm in the minority, but I see it as a great hire. Couldn't find anyone with a stronger passion for Louisiana. Dude can potentially keep the talent there, unlike Lester. If he does, the sky's the limit...

Regarding OU, you OU fans need to worry about your new coach because he is far too young and inexperienced.

No LSU fan should honestly knock on other new coaches for now, because no matter what any of us believes, nationally we have been perceived to have made one of the worst coaching hires around.

False.

Beating A&M this year will guarantee three years. Just like it saved his job last year. Just like it saved Les's job the year before.

Joe has a hardon for us.

I actually tend to disagree. I don't think he is a wonderful hire but there is a good chance he's learned enough to sit back and let his assistants carry the load.

I give him a fifty/fifty chance of doing great or getting fired in year 3.

As odd as it sounds, Bert's lazy arse could probably win a national title at LSU given the talent rich foundation while Coach O's over the top style might pay dividends for Arkansas.

I will knock on whatever the frick I want. I would put LSUs staff against anybodys and feel comfortable doing it. Orgeron proved he could coach at the PAC12 and SEC level.

Ole Miss was crappy job when Orgeron took it and its a crappy job now. Even cheating cant it done there. Orgeron has been a successful coach everywhere he has been but Ole Miss. That job is so bad that it derails and ends careers. He isnt at Ole Miss any longer.

FWIW, I'm an LSU fan and would take Riley over Orgeron. I think Orgeron was a bad hire, but I think he makes it through 3 or 4 seasons on talent alone.

Hillarious. If LSU seriously considered a coach in his early 30s with just couple of years as a Coordinator to be head coach you would be screaming.

Lets see what the OU staff does. I dont think too many highly experienced assistants are going to hang around to prop up some young kid when they were passed over for someone that inexperienced. Its laughable.

I didn't say I would have been happy with Riley, but I would take him over Orgeron, the coach that has failed miserably during his only HC tenure and who is a lifetime DL coach.

I'm not sold on Yaw-Yaw as a great coach but if he doesn't have a winning season then y'all need to tar and feather him.

Hire me as the LSU coach and let me only send in vague suggestions for the game plan each week and I could have a winning season.

Hmmmmm... let me ask a question sooner:

Do dumpster fires flip recruits from P5 conference title contenders?

And do they do it multiple years in a row?

LOL. You sooners still mad about us taking jacob phillips and k'lavon chaisson from you huh? Get over it. You need to be worried about your 33 year old head coach OU just hired instead of worrying about LSU and orgeron. You stay in the little league (big12) and let the big boys (sec) worry about themselves.

SEC application denied. If anyone wants to see an actual dumpster fire they should look at your conference.
