Yes, if he doesn't make the team, they will cut him. This isn't politics, it's about performance.

Of course. If the Rams felt they would be put in a position where they couldn't cut him they wouldn't have drafted him in the first place.

Way to back up your claim.

Reality show...isn't that one reason AJ Mc Carron dropped? So he is doing that, and will be under constant attention, even more so than Tim Tebow. Cutting him will cause a storm of protest mark what I say. And being a seventh rounder more than likely he is a long shot to make it,all things being equal.

the odds are against him, but knowing the firestorm that would come with his release will the Rams dare cut him if he doesn't work out? I say no.
Sylvester Croom disagrees about "the firestorm."

Yeah being gay makes things so much easier for him.
When was the last time the SEC defensive player of the year got drafted in the seventh round? I'll wait.

Are you saying he got drafted late because he was gay?

he didn't get drafted early because he's gay. The sentiment around here is he's getting things easy because he's gay which is ridiculous.
Question still stands

He's got no chance to make that roster.

The Rams have placed themselves in a very precarious pre-dick-ament.

I think the whole point was to draft him then cut him, that way the NFL doesnt get a black eye from the media for avoiding him, plus the kid gets a shot to make the team.

Then why didn't the Rams take him with an earlier pick? If it's a problem to take a gay player, they obviously weren't worried about it. Why didn't they get him in the 4th or 5th round? He got a mediocre combine score. Which had nothing to do with his homosexuality.

I know this is a crazy idea for you, but the Rams don't give a frick if he's gay or not.

Agreed.
I mean how lazy is Clowney anyway? LSU has to play UF every year. That is not fair is it?

i would say they hold on to him til hes shows what he can do in the pros. im sure STL and mizzou would be more than happy to see him go if he fails... and if he doesnt then they have a new add to that already good DLine

The two first round picks currently manning our D end spots wouldn't have anything to do with that would it?
Not saying I agree with he wasn't picked because he's gay, but we have much bigger needs in earlier rounds than end.
