Bama will have beaten 3 top-10 teams (2 on the road) and definitely 5, but likely 6, top 25 teams.

You lost me right here.

You actually are correct. I miscounted the top 25 teams. It should have read "definitely 4, but likely 5,...".
Point remains.

I believe you would have to be a non champion with more wins than a champion and better sos.

If this was reworded to read "a non champion with a better resume of wins/losses", then I agree. And that's my whole point.

Please name the teams, particularly the top 10 teams.

If you have Georgia and A&M counted as "top 10" wins you're going to be laughed right out of this thread.

Dude, you have to prove you're right.

But to the end of proving you are wrong, committee members have directly stated multiple times that winning a conference championship is definitely a feather in the cap, but does not automatically trump a team who didn't win their conference. Simply put, winning your conference helps, but IS IN NO WAY a prerequisite to getting in the CFB playoff.

And while in any given year, all or most of the 4 teams will be conference champs, it's simply not and never will be a prerequisite until CFB goes to a super-division with NFL style scheduling.

Again, however, reality is not predicated on your belief in it.

Don't you understand? The committee takes pre-season rankings much more seriously than actual season results.

And yet your "reality" is that Bama has beaten "top-10" teams in UGA and aTm.

It only conuntsvif they are ranked that way come December. You think LSU gets credit for beating #18 auburn today when they aren't even ranked now . As it stands Alabma has 1 top 25 win out of both polls. If MSU can stay ranked that helps, LSU, that helps, if AM and UGA can somehow stay in that helps. Best case scenario you get a win over 1 top 10 and possibly 3 more top 25, but some of this teams have big games and possibly drop out of the top 25

Do y'all have a bye week before Vandy?

If not, that could be a trap game because of their defense. That said, I think y'all win out. Can't wait to see y'all again in Atlanta.

As previously stated, SOS is taken into account AS OF THE DATE THE GAME WAS PLAYED, and this has been stated directly by committee members multiple times. The corollary is that committee members are not obligated to use the polls to determine their opinion of the quality of a team, but only that whatever criteria they use, it MUST be applied on that date, not after.

Ergo, is is reasonable to assume that many committee members will consider Both Georgia and A&M to be excellent wins, given the prevailing opinion at the time that they were excellent teams.

However, not one us are in their heads. I'm just forming an opinion based on what they, the committee members themselves, have stated directly.

Preseason polls are forbidden by rule from being used as criteria.

Honestly, I don't think Florida or Ole Miss will win out, and likely both will lose multiple times. IMHO, the LSU-Bama game is a play-in game to be the West representative.

Bama probably lost to an eventual 3 or 4 loss Ole Miss. Sucks, but it happened.

No I said it right not only will you need a better resume , but more wins.

Just look at last year, tOSU and FSU neither had a better resume than TCU or Baylor, but they did have more wins.

The committee is NOT going to leave out a CC, unless you everyone can see on paper , meaning. Win-loss. it's just not happening. The way it is set up , win the conference. why would anyone have a problem with this. The SEC went 5-7 losing all 3 big 6 games played, has lost to Toledo, lost to Memphis, out played by Jax St, why should out champion/ much less a team that doesn't win a division get any more respect than another conference champ. Why is it so hard to understand, win the conference.

So how is the team that you played in week 1 judged?

Well I heard the committee directly say Alabama will have to be the SEC Champion to go to the CFP. I guess you're fricked then.
