Ole Miss winning out is bad for the SEC no matter what. Not to mention that it'd be Ole Miss in the SECCG.... end times....

Why did Ole Miss have to pull an Ole Miss in the Memphis game? Why couldn't it have been against A&M or a future opponent like Arky?

Bama was pushed into that National Championship strictly because they were alabama. Oklahoma State was left out strictly because they aren't a media darling.

Don't agree with this statement but, biases aside, I think LSU got screwed in 2011...if the situation was reversed, I wouldn't have wanted to play LSU again. Not that it matters but, personally, I think you should have to be your conference champion before being the national champion, but those weren't the rules then and they still aren't the rules now...

That being said, the BCS was designed to put the two best teams in the championship game, not the two most deserving teams. And while the BCS failed some years, it got it right that year...I think it'd be hard to argue that LSU and Bama weren't the top 2 teams in the country in 2011; the system just wasn't designed to account for those teams having already played. Wasn't the first time it ever happened and, without a rule change, it probably won't be the last. Definitely sucked for LSU that year and, in like circumstances, I wouldn't have been a happy camper either...

Oh Lord. Not this again. Every year we have to beat these gophers back into their hole.

Bama will have beaten 3 top-10 teams (2 on the road) and definitely 5, but likely 6, top 25 teams.

You lost me right here.

Nah, LSU loses to Bama and then beats OM to put Bama in the SECCG. And don't think we won't appreciate it cause we will.

I don't think anybody can say they "know" what the committee would do given just a 1 year sample size of how they operate.

Just make sure you LSU doesn't have 2 losses because we need you to beat OM.

The committee has made a point as of last year, that all records being equal conf champions will be the tie breaker, period. I have no idea why people cannot get past this

Teams with equal records are in no way equal just because of that fact, and no committee member is obligated to view it that way. It's about WHO you beat and WHO you lost (or didn't lose) to. You're 100% wrong. SOS is a massive part of their protocol.

No non-conference champion is going to the CFP.

Get over it.

Looking at your link. This stood out.

Championships won
Strength of schedule
Head-to-head competition (if it occurred)
Comparative outcomes of common opponents (without incenting margin of victory)

I believe this is in order.

I believe you would have to be a non champion with more wins than a champion and better sos.
