Twas the week before Halloween and facing Ole Miss.
Every last balloon was all filled with piss.
Jambalaya and gumbo for all who'l be there.
With hopes that the ball will be thrown through the air.
Tiger fans drunk and not going to bed.
Visions of Sugar Bowls spinning in their heads.
Jethro the spider man and Boudreaux the cat were almost passed out for quite a long nap.
When up in the live oaks
Was heard a loud chatter.
We sprung from our stupor
To see what was the matter.
I jumped in my pirogue
Didn't even make a splash.
Crossed o'er the lakes
Made it in a flash.
There was Death Valley
In the harvest moon's glow.
Almost gave luster to BR below.
When what to my blood shot eyes did appear?
Among all the drunkards and spent cans of beer?
A raving mad lunatic punching the dirt.
Yelling yaw yaw and ripping his shirt.
"Yaw Malachi! Yaw Etling! Yaw Fournette and Guice! Yaw Godchaux! Yaw Beckwith! Yaw Arden and White!
He was portly and hairy like a crazed Cajun elf.
And he the head coach made me laugh to myself.
He spoke not a word.
Even though he tried.
Something 'bout Brent Schaeffer
made Colonel Reb cry.
And then with a wink he left me in awe.
As he yelled, "Wild Boyz! Yaw! Yaw! Yaw! Yaw!"
