So who is your QB next year?

1) Lucky to beat UF? Okay, I'll give you that it was a combination effort. Lucky that their D broke down and let us score, and lucky that Tebow thought he could run up the middle on one of the best D-lines in the country

LMAO...there was a LOT more luck involved in that game you conviently forgot

3) Stomping LSU in TS when it could easily have been 38-13 is NOT luck. P.S. You're welcome

conviently forgetting that BS TD called back on Trindon?

Not BS. If you look back through my posts you'll know I generally call things as they are. It simply was the correct call. The rule may be a bit funny, but it was by the letter of the rule. Bitch about the rule, not the rule being applied correctly.

We still did beat your arse. Remember that.

38-20, and it's still an arse whipping. Don't forget about 2 dropped int's. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. At best, we got lucky and ONLY beat you up and down the field by 18. Poor Ole Miss.

That remains to be seen. I'm only saying that even though it's a long and winding road through many cities, the trip IS possible. Not likely, but possible.

Well dude, you don't see a ton of blocked XPs. It was a great play, but still kinda lucky.

Focus on this first part. If you watch the replay very slowly, you'll see that UF's lineman didn't react to the snap at all. He stayed in the down position the entire play. Since he didn't stand up, it opened a large gap between him and the lineman next to him. Allowing Lockett to jump through. Luck? Maybe, if you're saying the UF guy was to stupid to stand up...

ETA: Besides, we didn't win the game on that play. It was the reason we had 1 more point than them at the end, but it's not the reason we won. We played strong defense, stopped Tebow from running, we kept them one dimensional, and our offense did what we had to do. All these things kept us in the game all day and allowed us the opportunity to stop Tebow on 4th and 1.

What was your opinion in the Arky game? First the PI called in the 4th quarter than the next play the NON-CALL on the arm bar?

That was the one game I didn't get to see this season. So I can't say.

To ramp, if you own a team you really shouldn't let them take you behind the woodshed at home like that.

I think that Ole Miss is coming to the wrong conclusion based on their victories over Florida and LSU.

Let me say first that both were great wins, and you can't take that away from them.

But the conclusion that they will be that competitive against similar competition next year is what I have an issue with. As has been said here, the FLorida game was a classic "upset game" where the underdog sneaks up on a talented opponent and gets a few big plays.

The game against LSU was lost by LSU at the conclusion of the Alabama game, then that was compounded by the loss of Lee and the insertion of Jefferson. Quite simply, LSU's heart was not in the rest of their season following the Alabama loss.

Ole Miss was the better team that specific day. But I suggest that the reason was not that they are the more talented, better coached team in general.

I've heard this a lot from LSU fans. It would make sense if Ole Miss squeaked it out or just won by a touchdown or so. Y'all got dominated, no way around that. I know thinking your team's heart wasn't in it makes it easier to take, but 31-13 isn't some fluke win. Hell I remember before the game the argument was LSU came together against Troy and Ole Miss was in for a tough game.

I'm drawing my conclusion based on what we have coming back and the way Ole Miss finished the season. Ole Miss was obviously better than a very good Texas Tech team (they weren't UGA's Hawaii last year), and trashed two SEC teams to end the regular season. Sure one of those was State, but the final was 45-0 with Ole Miss holding State to 37 yards of total offense! LSU, who had a stockpile of talent, lost 31-13 in a game that really was never in much question. That team is bringing back 16 starters and the only proven QB in the West. On top of that we've got a very favorable schedule in the West. What's not to lead us to believe we got a shot at winning the west?

Houston Nutt and Ole Miss history are two good reasons.

It's cause we had a starting quaterback and not a proven quaterback.
