1) Did away with Colonel Reb

2) Hired a black bear as mascot

3) Hire a black head coach

They may be a bad football team but no one would accuse them of being racists anymore!

And we would be a consistent bowl team.

Not really.

He does well at Ole Miss and he'll get much more publicity and post-season accolades than at Houston. Still a stepping stone, but a higher one than Houston.

I know the reality that not everyone from Mississippi is racist, but the rest of the country still looks at Mississippi that way.

Don't think it will happen. I heard he's married to a minority woman.

At the moment yes. But if he can return Ole Miss to an annual bowl contender he'll be on a bigger stage and could open himself up to a bigger job.

IMO, I think he's a good fit. He's a coach of a different mold from what they've had in Nutt, Coach O and Cutcliffe. I think a young charismatic coach who wins would get the fanbase interested

Keenum will be gone finally. I could see him leaving. Not sure how his offense would pan out in the SEC though.

Trust me. It takes more than hiring a couple of black coaches to shed that stigma in the media.

Yes really. Houston has been a better football program for awhile now.

Also, what are these post-season accolades youre talking about? Sumlin could have Houston in BCS bowl. Think he could accomplish that @ Ole Miss?
