Yes.
A lot of us really care about this.

Absolutely shocked this happened.

No, but seriously. It's a very touchy subject, especially for those of us actually from Mississippi. I, for one, am tired of being associated with racists and bigots simply because of the actions of the few and idiotic. $25,000 is pocket change, and honestly I hope they get caught and their lives are ruined so they finally realize what this type of hate does to people.

Yeah it probably was those racist fricks who have had multiple black members initiated in the last few years....

$25,000 is money well spent to make an example out of whomever did this after all OM has done to move their public image forward in the last 5 years. It'll be interesting to watch if they do round up a perp..
A thread like this was my kryptonite as a newb.

Well...
Most Pikes are from Memphis, not Georgia, which is contrary to the beliefs of most on this site. Many are from Georgia, yes, but the majority are from Memphis and the Memphis area. IIRC, Sig Eps had a bunch of GA kids, as well as ATO and Phi Psi.
Whether it was a Pike, a State fan (which is likely wasn't), a student, and administrator, or some redneck from Eupora who drank a little too much Busch Light and just had to make their opinion known, their actions are deplorable.
It was likely a student seeing as how roughly fifteen percent of our student body population is from the Atlanta area.
As many have echoed here, I would quickly turn in my friends for $25,000. That would literally pay off a year of law school for me
In all likelihood, it was probably some 19-year old kids who drank a little too much Evan Williams green label and smoked a little too much weed on the fourth floor of Compton and got bored from playing FIFA and Borderlands and did something they'll regret for the rest of their lives. This is eerily similar to the Obama "race riot" issue and will be handled by the University in a similar fashion: kneejerk reactions and revisionism.

Did I say it was an official fraternity action? No. I said it was probably two of them who got drunk and thought it would be funny. I could see a few Pikes doing something like this.

Seen them start quite a few fights in the Grove and in the Library. That's why I hate them. Most sorority girls that I've talked to say almost all of the sororities hate them.

I hope Dan Jones calls these frickers while they're in a jail cell to let them know they've been expelled.

Me too. The only university they'll be able to get into is ITT Tech after this. At least I hope it is.

They've certainly started their share of fights and have taken part in plenty of shenanigans and tomfoolery, but that's par for the course for 18-22 year olds, IMO.

I hope they never get a second chance. I would let national media know they were being expelled and watch them burn.
Posted on 2/18/14 at 9:17 am to Tornado Alley
I've never seen a frat cause as many as them though. Me and my buddies were in The Library a few years ago and a few of them started talking to my buddy's girlfriend. When he saw she was uncomfortable he went to see if she was ready to leave. They all got in his face and said he needed to leave. That's the kind of white trash pieces of shite they are.

I really don't hope they try to pull the "I was drunk and it was a huge mistake on my part" bullshite. They deserve to get kicked out and never get admitted to another major university.
