Doesn't matter what conference he is. Winning a conference your first year as a head coach is impressive no matter where it is.

His offense is absolutely proven in the SEC. It is championship worthy and consistently ranked in the top 20 wherever he has been.

Chew on this for a minute. . . Malzahn's offensive rankings at the school's he's coached at.

Arkansas - #39 (almost all houston nutt's offense)
2007 Tulsa - #1
2008 Tulsa - #1
2009 Auburn - #16
2010 Auburn - #7
2011 Auburn - #100 (chizik simplified the offense to give D rest)
2012 Arkansas State - #23

Cool. So what is your prediction for au's record this season?

Yes, you really are. If you want to talk football have some clue of what you are talking about, and please at least google some facts.

Otherwise, stay away to not look like an idiot.

I doubt Auburn has the horses to really put together a great offense next year... but if they did it would be fun to see a "no defense, great offense" A&M and Auburn put up more than 100 points

Depends on QB player, really.

The entire offensive line, WR's, and TE's are all pretty high ranked 4 stars. (rivals)

I think we'll only have one starter on offense who isn't at least a 4 star.

As for the defense, who knows how good it'll be, but I'm glad we won't be running the tampa 2 anymore. Those soft coverages killed me.

Bro I've forgotten more about football than you'll ever know. Calling me silly names isn't helping your cause.

You've brought nothing to the table that supports that claim. Nothing all all.

My guess is you're a young teenager who hardly knows anything about football.

You would be wrong. Add 20 years to that guesstimate. Your team quit I said...you agreed. I asked for players that were worth a damn and your comrade even had trouble naming any.

You're lying, pretty obvious.

You said the 2008 team had a lot of studs that were big time players in 2009 which couldn't be any more false. You need to do your homework kid (no pun intended).

Best I could come up with. I'll go ahead and bookmark the post so I can get back to you mid-season or at the end of the season and see if those names ring a bell then, OK?

Terrell Zachery was a stud in 2009 and was on the 2008 team. He scored on an end around vs bama 2009 iron bowl. He also scored in the 2010 iron bowl.

Again, you show how dumb you are.

Your original point was that 2008 had a lot of studs from the year before that were returning.

Please point out some studs from the 2008 team.

There weren't many.

We had a young offensive line in 2008 much like we did in 2012.
We had a pretty good running back in Tate much like Tre Mason. We had awful QB play in Todd like we did with Kiehl Frazier and Moseley.

Darvin Adams, Terrell Zachary, and Onterio McCalebb didn't play in 2008.

We had some pieces in place in 2008 who were in the wrong system. Same with the 2012 team

They are about to be put into the same system that made them uber successful in 2009.

Probably because they are a better team with a better coach.
