We had one. And many a Gamecock fans miss it. It's known as the Carolina Coliseum. It was built for basketball and you can tell. Fans are right on top of the court. It may fit 6,000 less than the CLA but it could get just as loud, if not louder (granted the CLA has rarely been loud given how bad our basketball team has been since we built it)
It's pretty obvious the CLA was built to house non-basketball events. Almost built like an NBA venue.
