He also says that OU looks at joining the Pac 12 as a way to "enhance" its academic standing and that OU folks don't want the challenge of playing football in the SEC.

So they are so dumb and scare

It's pretty common thought that when you live in Texas you're first choice is Texas and a&m. When you don't get in you apply to tech and OU and go to one of those. OU academics are shite. Have u ever been to Oklahoma? If you are a public institution and have high requirements in Oklahoma you would have about 500 enrollment

May be a tad more regional than that. People in Dallas and up in the northern suburbs have lots of ties to OU, so a good number of them will get nice deals to go to OU or OSU. Would be interesting to see what the numbers are.

Oh, there isn't any doubt. Vandy, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, aTm just don't measure up to the genius Boomer Sooners.

Educate yourself via the expansive free highway of the world wide web... it's awesome.

Good lord people have no idea how the are classifying themselves as Joe Bag o'Donuts when they say that.

It's the same sob story the rest of the world uses on America, save a few countries. The B12 commish & conference partners sat on their collective asses for years & didn't want to build the brand. Worse yet, many turned down or voted against conference media & revenue opportunities that were pitched.

Finally Texas carved it's own path.

Look @ the original group of B12 members.. how in the world did blah, fricking blah. blah, blah...

Nice hat.

Never once have I heard of OU being a beacon of academic excellence.

Remember the gargantuan OL Phil Loadholt who played for the Sooners a few years ago? He signed with Les Miles out of JC but was unable to pass muster with either LSU or the SEC academically. He left BR and went to Norman with no trouble at all, helping the Sooners to set offensive records under Sam Bradford. Point being he was accepted academically by OU and not by LSU. Maybe things have changed the last 8 years... sort of doubt it though.

You A&M fans are shaking in your boots knowing deep down daddy OU is coming back for little aggie if they get into the SEC. It's comical that you downplay any big 12 school that owned you for decades like OU or Texas. Barely a .500 program that acts as if they have multiple national titles in the last 100 years. Now LSU has filled in as the daddy role slowly warping your little minds to hate LSU as much as your last masters.

A&M and Oklahoma have only played 30 total times. The series record is 19-11 in favor of Oklahoma. Neither team played the other from 1952-1992.

A&M and Texas are tied at 18-18 over the last 40 years.

A&M is 17th all time in terms of wins.
