That's not even a good video of it because of the crowd, the full audio is even cooler.

Oriakhi may not prove to be the equal of Noel, but at least we have a rim protector of our own down there now who won't just let Noel and Cauley-Stein run rampant.

The one thing I'm curious about with Oriaki, and I say this having seen him in his fair share of Big East games, is how he's going to adjust to the officiating. The Big East will damn near let you hack until you murder someone on the court. Will be able to break that habit in the post? I think he can but I also think the adjustment may be a little bit tougher for him as a result.

Harrow having that year under his wing is going to pay huge dividends for us though.

Is the Mizzou ESPN 3 coverage going to be available to stream later, after the fact? Hoping so, watched a bit of the beginning but wanted to catch the Cards game and hopefully watch the Mizzou Madness later.

He threw Sundvold under the bus and was so deep into stuff he wouldn't admit it. He took cowards way out on the Detroit stuff.

It's an issue, and lets face it Mizzou last year that anyone watching us at all could tell was sort of the ultimate finesse team. We were all about offensive efficiency and pretty plays and our inside game with Ratliffe was about having soft hands and good passing. How does all that mesh with Oriakhi who is a classical, bruising, relatively unskilled but good rebounder shot blocker type? I don't know. We looked solid on our Europe tour this summer but I will say that some of our backup new big men, Tony Criswell in particular, were taking to this offense a little quicker than Oriakhi. Haith will of course change his style somewhat to accomodate the new group we have, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if against lots of teams you still see Mizzou "go small" with Oriakhi sitting for long stretches to maintain the more finesse, passing and outside shooting style of play that defined us last year.

That's nice that you have issues with him. Good luck with that. He also gave Sundvold 4 conference championships, 4 NCAA tourneys and an NBA career so I'm sure Jon will get over whatever vague crap you allude to. The "Detroit stuff" would be a long thread but to shorten it I will say Kentucky was coming off its major scandal right at the same time, as was kansas, as was Illinois, as was UNLV...if you want to hold personal grudges about something that was rampant across college hoops at the time, rock on, but IDGAF.

Wrong Sundvold, he didn't give Jon anything you fool.

Again though he was a coward for not standing up for his assistants and saving his arse. I have no problem with his coaching, but do for his character.

Oh Bob, sure, didn't realize your whole post was about just the Detroit stuff

As for assistants getting thrown under bus I'm sorry you feel that way but its something that happens in college ball all the time. Lane Odom and Tony Harvey took the fall for Quin, too. Plus if you read Norm's book on the matter he would at least tell you that he was fighting the NCAA tooth and nail the whole time and didn't agree with any of it, and was trying to fight for Bob. If you would have preferred Norm resign alongside Bob, well, again, good luck with that stance but IDGAF.

Of course, I wouldn't want to talk basketball either if I was an Auburn fan.
