ole miss/ms state have great fans.... truly they do. in all seriousness though, there is a passion across the board that the ACC bottom rung can't compete with

Here come the ACC fans....

Well, the LSU and Bama people (some of them) have been slurping their slongs for the past two months ... encouraging them. It's what the far left wing nuts do with our borders .... tell them to come on in, you're welcome here on the SECr. Here, take our jobs, bang our women, eat our dogs and cats. Same stuff ... same stuff going on, letting the ACC trash in.

Ice and Chicken with their Obama and Biden approach to our borders. It's not working.

Build a fricking wall.

There is passion and then there is results

The North Koreans are passionate, but their country is a shite hole

Why the hell would any SC fan do any talking?

I would understand a Bama fan talking shite.

Most SC fans here are not that bad tbh. CNB and others are reasonable

Ole Scooster is a bit nutty however

I've noticed they're not, but couldn't pass up taking a shot.

Okay, well passion is what puts butts in seats, sells merch, and puts eyeballs on the TV consistently. It takes a lot of successful results to produce consistent attraction to programs that don't have naturally passionate fan bases.

Again, look at tix sold and tv ratings for the SEC and ACC title games. It favors the SEC regardless of participants and it's not close.

They will be up there with FSU and Clemson in a few years

I don't disagree, but he will get poached sooner or later by OU or someone else that will make him an offer he can't refuse.

Okay. But you know damn well there isn't that much interest in a lot of ACC football outside of the top 3-4. That can't be said for the SEC, even the bottom half programs garner way more interest than the BCs, WFs, and UVAs of the world.

eta: This genuinely isn't a knock on Clemson. They can't help that most of the conference doesn't emphasize football as much as they and FSU do.

Wasn't Clemson supposed to leave the ACC with y'all back in the late 60s?

Nah. South Carolina just left when they realized they couldn't compete

Cocks couldn't win the SEC under Spurrier, but they would've taken an ACC football crown or two with him had they been in that conference.

how do those ACC teams not emphasize football? can you give specific examples.

they hire coaches, have stadiums and other facilities, recruit, etc so the emphasis on football seems the same.

Couldn't compete?

We won the football title in '69. Actually won another in '65 but it was taken away.

Won the ACC tournament title in basketball in '70. Won the ACC title out right in basketball in '71.

We became an independent in '72.

If anything else, our competitiveness scared the shite out of Tobacco Road and it facilitated our decision to leave.

But sure. Be a 'tard and keep up voting your own posts.

Here's an idea. Why don't you tell me how BC, WF, Syracuse, Duke, and UVA do emphasize football.
