Yes they do : NCAA credits are a huge bonus for all ACC schools

The fact you do not know this supports your alter status or you lying about being a Tater grad.

what is your obsession with AAU schools.

Not my obsession, most college presidents and college BoD's would give their left nut for AAU membership.

Again, if you are a college graduate of any school how you do not know this is beyond belief.

Pretty sure UNC basketball is a big draw for the ACC television contract. In that sense, yes, UNC makes money for Clemson.

AAU might be a brag for a college, however, i do not see it is something your average college student and graduate cares about. lol it has nothing to do with the quality of the professors and programs at a university.

CLemson is ranked much higher than Iowa State in US News, yet CU is not AAU but Iowa State is.

so obviously what schools are best is a subjective exercise.

Clemson is ranked in the highest classification by Carnegie for research universities.

i don't think so. every ACC school provides content. UNC has to play against somebody.

Without UNC, the TV contract wouldn't be woth as much, so yeah. Not as many people are going to tune in to watch Clemson vs. Miami in basketball.

Ethics and all, I would assume the SEC wants no part of what the state of North Carolina has to offer.

Then you'd be assuming wrong. The NC television market is huge and their prestige would be a welcomed edition...can you imagine a UNC/Kentucky conference basketball rivalry?

So a Clemson-Miami basketball game is going to draw as many viewers as Clemson-UNC? Yeah, okay bud

ok, i think it has more to do with collection of schools in ACC, not one program. i don't think ton of non-UNC fans view UNC bball as appointment viewing. lol

Both Arkansas and SCar have had top 5 teams fairly recently. Mizzou has two division titles in the East, and A&M just built a palace, and is a decent coach away from being a top team.

What are you talking about? That said, UNC is firmly a basketball school, with a sports program that is all around one of the best in the country. Even if UNC becomes a middle of the road FB team like it is now, it is still a valuable product.

If you do not get why UNC is important to the ACC no one will be able to help you.

i think the viewership is based on the rankings on the teams that season. two ranked teams more likely to be viewed, partly b/c those games get the prime time spots.

i don't think a Clemson-UNC game in which Clemson was not ranked would have high viewership.

UNC also had one of the greatest linebackers of all time play for them.

Maybe not, but they are more likely to come across it and stay on the channel. They have a lot of fans and a lot of people that want to see them lose.

if being in SEC didn't kickstart several SEC team football programs, like SC, why would it do that for UNC.

That is not particularly true. Yes, USC is down at the moment but any school where the head coach basically coasts to retirement for a couple of years, like Spurrier did, is going to see a steep drop off.

It was not that long ago that SC was winning 11 games a season and thumping their in state rival. As I am sure you can attest too.

Sure, they have some rebuilding to do but I would be surprised if USC doesn't return to respectable status soon and possible move back to elite.

You keep saying this but do you know what it really means?

Pretty much every P5 school out there is a Carnegie I school. Congrats on being a P5 state school?

Ole Miss is a Carnegie I

Sleeping with big-tittied skinny-ankled babes can still give you stuff that Ajax will not scrub off. UNCheat is loaded with STDs ... we should avoid them at all costs. They bring zero value to the SEC in the the long run and I seriously doubt UT, UGA, UF and SC would allow them to be voted-in in the first place. We've all had behind the scenes run-ins with them over the years on the recruiting trails ... they're skankier than Lindsay Lohan.

That is why the SEC will pimp UNC out. Mo Money, Mo Money, Mo Money
